I first got intersted in minimalism because I wanted to improve my mental health. I've found that reducing the amount of visual clutter (stuff all around me) has helped me to be calmer and happier.

minimalism has changed my life, i was in a rutt working the same depressing job for years making good money but all i was doing was working and consuming, i aquired a massive horror collection, my whole place was posters, figures, movies, statues, etc. until it became like an obsession to fill an empty void i had constantly searching online to kill time just to buy more crap that sit around collecting dust, i had a huge video collection as well and now a year later i sold or gave away almost everything and i feel so free now that i even had the spare money to take off work awhile and relax until i found a better job

I played this game over the past month with 2 friends. It has totally changed my life! I probably got rid of 50% of what I owned and more than double the items required by the game. I'm also starting to get control over my finances and will be debt free in 12 months! 👍🏻 Thank you! 😁

Love this guy! SERIOUSLY a life changer! Love how humble and direct the conversation is. If you are just getting started, Keep going and keep your mind right. I know how my lifestyle, diet, everything changed for the better. The chain of events that has led him here I am forever greatful for.

My life would be less stressful I thought for years. Objects seriously stress me out. Had a recent “mold issue in the home” and basically packed up a small bag and left. Not even clothes can be taken with a possible mold issue. It was drastic, but life changing. Now I have more focus and drive to start working again after a long haul with a Lyme disease related illness. Thank you for the guidance, been listening to you two for a year and both of you have been a life changing part of my life. -Sarah

Watching again your Netflix documentary refreshed my mind on some great tips for few folks whom want to pursue decluttering. They have mentioned allowing me go into their homes, garages and clean out. I appreciate the offer but it can do more damage especially with our relationship. So now I have the one on first day, two on second day, etc........... along with few other words of wisdom from your Netflix docu. I've been a minimalist for more years than I can remember and honestly don't believe I was familiar with the term either, but now I label my life as such and LOVE IT.

How many cleaning items does the minimalist version of myself want to own? Lets say it is 5. I look at all my cleaning items together and donate all but 5. Even if all the others are useful and I like them. Likeable and useable are not good enough reasons to me to STORE them in my home. Being minimal brings me more peace than storing those items. Another example... I want all my undergarments to fit in this small drawer. Start picking my favorites and let go of the rest that do not fit well in the drawer. I’m on a journey of more clarity, peace, and focused energy for my life purpose. A less distracted life.

I simplified about 9-10 boxes full of clothes and shoes, a box full of books, some bins full of paper and bathroomstuff( i have curly hair and therefore i can live in bathroomstuff) and some kitchenstuff. I am not a minimalist yet, but it is a work in progress i've learned. I am living in germany and my english isn't the best, but i hope you guys understand what i am saying here. Thank you.
