What SpaceX Means For Elon Musk's Mars Dreams

In less than two decades, SpaceX went from Elon Musk's dream of a greenhouse experiment on Mars to conducting the majority of U.S. rocket launches.
The early years of SpaceX reveal a company that teetered on the edge of dying out, as Musk has said. After three unsuccessful attempts to reach orbit, his team scrounged together enough parts for a fourth rocket, and SpaceX made history with its Falcon 1 rocket.
While Musk provided the vision, his company was not an overnight success. Key people, such as employees like now President and COO Gwynne Shotwell and investors like the members of the Founders Fund, helped forge SpaceX into the business it is today. SpaceX has won billions of dollars in NASA and Air Force launch contracts. It also carries payloads for private companies.
Now SpaceX is valued at over $30 billion and has more than 6,000 employees around the country. The company is launching rapidly, with a backlog of orders for its Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy rockets. SpaceX is facing its greatest challenge yet in 2019: Launching astronauts for NASA. If Musk's long-term goal of sending humans to Mars is going to be realized, SpaceX must be able to regularly and safely launch astronauts into orbit.

Thanks for the great take down of the insane far left. The insane far right's equivalent is the ethno-nationalists who want nations based on race. The fantastic Angelina Jordan is one quarter Japanese, one quarter Iranian, and a large part Italian and Norwegian. Listen to her sing - at nine years of age - Screamin' Jay Hawkins 'I Put a Spell on You'. It will tell you she's a musical genius. I don't know if that genetic diversity was a part of that genius or not, but it obviously didn't prevent it. And...last time I checked, only nations go to war, so why would they want them at all? If some people wish to create voluntary communities on either end of the spectrum, I have no objections. But, if they want to use governments to force it on the rest of us, I do.

If she wants to talk about the lack of White Women and Black people ( mostly men she does not care about women ) then she needs to do a whole video on that. Throwing it in there last minute was almost as if she was trying to slander him and his company. I believe that she could care less about diversity or black people she’s just using it as a way to cause dissension and doubt in his company. I really don’t like that at all.😑 Also you three are sitting here in the comments acting as if she actually cares about what she is saying. That is really annoying 🤨 Ignore her don’t give her the time of day.

Who gives a **** about which types of people are hired, spacex doesn’t hate women, they hire based on the facts they have on hand of who would be best at their job individually. When you have a goal as big as spacex’s you need hard working people and that means hiring people who are most likely going to handle their job the best, who’s interview/background sounds the best, not to have even amounts of male/female, black/white employees. The hardest working people with the best backgrounds will be hired. Period.
