What Sorority Recruitment Is Really Like + Bid Day | University of Michigan
Hi everyone! I know it has been a while since I have posted... this semester I have just been around the clock busy and some of that is because of my involvement in Greek life at the University of Michigan. I wanted to share with you guys what my recruitment process was like because I watched a billion of these videos before I got to experience the real thing. I really tried showing the reality of it all, but just like I needed to keep reminding myself in the video, everything does work out the way it is supposed to. Looking back I was definitely a tad dramatic about certain aspects, but I think that was mostly because it went very differently than I thought it would. So it took some adjustment and then it was smooth sailing. Overall, I am beyond happy with where I am at and know that where I ended up was meant for me.
If anyone reading this is going through recruitment, I want to remind you that whatever happens is not reflective of you as a person. There are so many factors that go into getting asked back and so don't let it change your perception of yourself. You are perfect the way you are and any sorority would be lucky to have you.

Nothing quite so humbling as rush week! Everyone gets dropped by houses they like, and every house will get dropped by a PNM that they really liked too. In the end you can only be in one house, and maybe it is good that some of the hard decisions are made for us along the way. I'm so glad you ended up where you felt you best belonged. I was a Sigma Kappa at my university. I felt a deep bond there almost from the very first visit, (and the fact that the house was absolutely the prettiest building on campus didn't hurt.)

Congrats on house! But more importantly thanks for you video vlogs this freshman year. Me being person who grew up in the A2 school system and around University of Michigan while taking field trips there, makes it clear to see what could've been (probably not). I'm currently freshman in welding school/trade school So it helps me see what life is like at a place that I and many others dreampt about, but never came. Thanks for all you videos this year and best luck to you and the future.

The lights above the mirrors actually came with the room, but I am sure you can find something similar on Amazon:)

Thank you for being honest .it seems as if every girl wants the same 'top ' houses. In honesty, the 'top ' is what you make it. Adpi is a great place to be....and better even since now you are a sister...have fun fun fun !!!!! Adpi is a winner....all the others are losers since they don't have you ! I love watching this.....I'm too embarrassed to say how much....I cannot tell you how many people I have encouraged to view this. You are so real ....my bff was dropped from all but 2 houses....grades were her problem....it really took a toll on her.we encouraged her to keep an open heart. She did...,become pres of her chapter !you and people like you have made it possible for young women to realize that there is life after getting dropped . Thank you , Hayden.....you are a true star 😉
