I agree, Dedf1sh/Acht better not be evil. It would be so much cooler for her to be an ally and actually help 8 and Pearl. They could maybe even expand on the sanitization lore and use the sanitization trauma as a motivator for Acht to help us. She is such a cool character so I don’t want her to be ruined. I can’t wait for more OTH and Dedf1sh tracks.

Honestly I think I’m one of the rare people who wouldn’t mind her as a villain, so long as it makes sense for her character (which, mind you, we know next to nothing about). But yeah, more sanitisation lore would be interesting.

Honestly imo, I feel burnt out on Side Order stuff, just because Nintendo announced it WAY too early in 2022, and now it coming out in 2024, I'm just kinda want it to be out just so we can stop anticipating for it. I genuinely hope it'll blow me away for it to be worth all the hype, but at the same time, kinda burnt out over it.

I'm super excited for this. It'll be neat to see what carries over to splatoon 4

A bit of a concern i have surrounds the difficulty options, as we see from the September direct trailer that each floor has easy/normal/hard variants. This could have a lot of cool nuance, with the hard versions giving smth more technical (in the trailer it is shown to reward a reduction in charge for the pearl drone's splat bomb) and the easier versions giving more standard buffs--could risk ur run on a hard floor to get smth that would rly help out/define ur build. But im worried that either the rewards wont be significant enough to make a difference, or the difficulty levels will end up being negligible. Even looking at the rewards we've seen, i dont know if i quite see the appeal of the drone splat bomb, esp since it seems to work like a special? If it's just a singular splat bomb, why would i risk my run for 20p less charge? However ofc there's a tonnnn we dont know about how all of this is gonna work, and i do still hold an amount of confidence that the devs will strike the landing here.

What I learned during times of failure is expect the unexpected. It’s up to them to go for failure or success.

sadly I think they are set in there ways with changing the square similar to the plaza, they wanna show that time has passed apparently. Even when octo expansion came out they changed ads and signs that displayed on the TVs in the square so I Think its inevitable.

Happy to say based on the reviews from the few who have played it, your initial concerns aren’t prevalent in the latest copy of the dlc thank goodness!! Apparently it’s a very fun rougelike and yes it is more rouge like than light.

I fear that I won't be too surprised if Side Order does get fumbled, there's just a lot that Nintendo could've chosen to do better but didn't. I'm sure Side Order is going to be great, and I'm sure I'll love it- I'm honestly more concerned about the new season itself. Aside from the things we're likely getting, (most everything from 2 that we're still missing) it could potentially be yet another lackluster season for a lot of players. I understand that Side Order is gonna be the main focus, but that doesn't mean players who can't get/don't want Side Order should just be left with nothing. I'm wishing for something totally new with this upcoming season- since it's Splatoon 2 themed, I don't see why we can't get some more hairstyles for octolings or something like that. Splatoon 3 just feels so uninspired, it deserves better than it's gotten lately.

Thinking about it they’re going to do the same thing as the plaza and make squid beats the harmony shop :/

If you know the basic story of Octo you’ll be fine. Side order appears to be more a result of the s2 final fest and some of the events that take place in 3

If the dlc is going to be roguelike we need unlockable perks and multiple endings ala Binding of Isaac that make each run unique

@@rizirone the whole “she’s partially sanitized” thing came from either a misinterpreted or mistranslated line. Either way inkipedia has quotes that say she’s flat out sanitized, doing so of her own volition, no mention of her being partially sanitized.

Im actually really concerned about them recycling the same bosses again with maybe 1 new one, every single story mode and DLC (only octo expansion lol) has had the same boss fights but slightly harder and it made octo expansion way less fun to play in my opinion cuz the "Reward" of playing through the levels was fighting the same bosses i have before. Im fine if they make one cameo, ONE, but thats it, if they took this long to cook side order imagine how embarrassing it would be for them to go "So heres side order! we made octo expansion but now its white! :D"
