The Venture X has made things so much more complicated. It's like an end game card but you have better approval odds with less open cards on file. It's so weird.

@@Cause023 Yes, build a solid foundation with chase cards while you’re still under 5/24, then you can move to citi, c1 etc

@@moheel7022 about how long does it take to get the chase trifecta? I’m going to go insane if I have to wait 2+ years to move onto capital one lol. Bc that’s a lot of travel rewards and airport lounge time wasted for me 😅

@@Cause023 I applied every 3 months. You could spread it out more or less, but I've seen data points of people getting denied early on for too many applications. Start off with chase fu or flex and then get CSP last. If you're planning on getting any chase business/hotel/airline cards, space out applications every 6 months to stay within 5/24 range.

This is a super interesting list! I’ve been planning a similar video for my channel, but you made me take some things into consideration that I didn’t before.. it’s cool to see how the credit card game continues to change over the years! Great work on this one.

Turned 18 in January but have been watching for 1 year just wished people around me that are older then me stopped asking me what cards they should get or what stocks they should buy but now that I’m 18 going to get started with the chase trifecta already have the CFF and the citi DC

Great video Ben!! Could you do a similiar video but focused on cards that maximize benefits for those of us who do not travel enough to take advantage of those rewards??

This five card setup is great even if you are only occasionally traveling. If you do not travel and want to avoid the annual fees, then change card 4 and 5 to the Citi Custom Cash and Double Cash cards. That will round out a solid no AF cashback setup.

I would complete the Chase trifecta and if possible get the Chase Ink business cards (all 3) for maximum Chase UR points before going to Capital One due to the 5/24 rule.

ive had the BCE card for a year spent over 5k on the card in the whole year and twice ive been denied for a CLI from AMEX. 1k card is currently the lowest in my wallet

I would probably swap out the Amex BCE for the Bilt Mastercard for more opportunities to earn Hyatt points. Especially as beginners are probably still paying rent.

The IT was fine for years. All of a sudden, they suspended my card to do a so-called identity review. I think it's a financial review. I was late one time by a day. After reading that some have signed the forms so they can check your tax forms and still had thier card closed. It's my second oldest card and I wanted to keep it. But, at this point they can close it because I am a little pissed.

I have the discover it card, but am at 3/24 and have a 705 FICO. Debating skipping the Amex everyday card and going to the freedom flex, and then going onto Amex just to be safe. I heard you can upgrade the flex to the preferred, which means I'll stay under the 5/24 bc i already have a chase card, but I'm just upgrading it.

I think freedom unlimited might be easier to convert as Freedom unlimited is a Visa, Flex is a mastercard. CSP is Visa card btw.

If you are just starting out, getting 2 Chase cards in 2023 is almost undo able as Chase requires one year of credit history to get Freedom and Sapphire. You should make it clear that going from zero credit this this lineup can easily take a couple years

Ben will you do a video on the credit cards Kpop idols like Blackpink "Lisa" use like Hyundai Card’s The Black, Samsung Card’s Raume O, Hana Card’s Club 1 and KB Kookmin Card’s Tantum? Hard to get ones like them? Credit Cards they use in Korea, a tier list like you do for the USA? So many K-pop artists making the USA Billboard charts BTS, Blackpink, Loona, Itzy, Twice, (G)I-DLE, NewJeans etc. I was just wondering.
