That’s pretty great resource Drew, I checked out the 35 Devine desires. I saw “control” is one of them, could you talk a bit on that one. I feel like in lots of other materials, control or needs for control often times are negative rather than positive. Thanks!

Thanks Terence! Yes - the restoration of healthy control (or more accurately "autonomy") can be very healing. For example, I was sexually abused as a child. My body should have been mine, but it was treated the property of a trusted family member whose feelings I felt obligated to satisfy. Now as an adult I am learning to take back control of my body in a legitimate way. Ironically, this is part of what it means to surrender to God.
