Hey guys! Get this question a lot so I thought I'd attempt a video to answer it. No, it's not a perfect list of parts but it's a good start and introduction into what else you may need to keep that kei healthy :) Hope it helps!

Yeah even if it's in great condition I'd definitely immediately do air, oil and fuel filters. Check the coolant and differential oils. Then think about 14" rims and tires, does a wonder for ride quality and top end.

Great video, The front shifter bushings that you’ve gone over are a simple and inexpensive repair that will make driving a much better driving experience right off the bat as every single sambar I’ve seen have been completely bad and missing

If you haven’t already, do a spec video on: dimensions, weight, wheel base, features: low gear, 2/4WD, locking diff, etc. across versions gens of the sambar.

Put a shop vac on your oil fill and seal it up with a rag and soem tape and turn it on. That eill allow you to change tge drain plug gasket without losing any oil. :)

Actually I just saw someone do that the other day on instagram replacing a bad oil sensor or something. did the shopvac trick and kept the oil from falling out. I may give that a try! Good video too lol.

Kevin, yours was a timely video. I just purchased a 1994 Sambar Supercharged truck. Thanks for the reminder about getting the EFI fuel filters. I know that the supercharged is fuel injected, but I might have overlooked that detail when buying the fuel filters (especially if only the carbureted ones were visible on the shelf). P.S. I miss the wildlife in the background. 🦆

LOL it's too hot to film the wildlife outside, plus all the birds are hiding in the shade melting, or playing in their pools. BUT soon! I'll be back out there again :)

Thanks for sharing. Great content and presentation. I'm currently in the process of importing a Sambar truck. I'm going to be putting 23-inch wheel/tire with a 2-inch body lift. What is the bolt pattern and offset. Not all Kei trucks are the same. If you could do a video covering wheels. That would be great. Thanks

Do you have a video of a r12 to 134a conversion

i think all you have to do is change the fittings. drain the system first and then add the fittings for 134a. that should be it
