    My parents were pastors and we all had fun with the Santa story but also knew it wasn’t reality. Christmas was always about Jesus in our household. Giving and loving during this snowy season gave rise to warm long ago memories.

    Fwiw I really enjoyed hearing about the real Saint Nicholas what an example for all of us to follow I mean even those of us who don't have very much can still do something for other people a lot of the local grocery stores these donations bags of food that you can purchase for $5 a bag and you can help feed the needy this way but yes the story of Saint Nicholas is a great example for all of us to follow because that's what Jesus really wants for all of us. We are all supposed to look after each other, Jesus never directed that the government should take care of the poor and the needy that responsibility was given directly to us

    Good for you! It is pretending and it is fun. We still can be truly inspired, even at a very young age, that it is better to give then to receive, as Nicholas of the 4th century shared his love so generously. We may participate in giving as well. As God is the Greatest Giver ever, we are made in God's image and He delights in us partaking in the heavenly family business. Spread love and kindness and fun and most certainly include those, otherwise forgotten or left out. And no need to stop after Christmas either.

  • @MrPatdeeee
    @MrPatdeeee2 жыл бұрын

    "What Should Christians Tell Children About Santa?" They should tell the truth about the entire "Santa Clause Fairytale". And NOT lie; like parents have forever. Same for any other similar scenarios. But more so...they should NEVER ask their children (or anyone else) what they want for Christmas. Nor should they tolerate them telling their parents, what they want. IE: Christmas is about the baby Jesus' birth. And NO one asked the "Wise Men" to give them the gifts. Etc. For they did it from their hearts; without any one asking. This is what should be in EVERY family; to the "4 corners of the world"! AMEN! And...IF any child (or others) does not like their gift(s); the parents should immediately snatch that gift; and let them know they will never get a gift again on Christmas (or any other time); UNTIL they beg forgiveness; for their satan-led ego and selfishness behavior. Lastly: Christmas is primarily about Jesus; NOT about a baby. Nor is it about gifts among us. It is about a fleshly "God"; that is going to try to "Save" Jews; who are in grave danger of going to hell. Etc. Thus, Christmas is about worshiping Jesus ONLY. And ALL He did to save US; because most of them denied Him. Oh how Sad! Oh indeed Yes. Praise His Holy Name. 1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. John 1:1 and 14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was within God, and the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. End of Story and I rest me case... ....In any case Brethren, Please Pray OFTEN and Praise Jesus OFTEN; for He is the ONLY true "God Almighty"; there will ever have been. And may Jesus bless you and yours always. AMEN!

    Oh no, has it ever occurred to you, that if you deny the children the right to tell what they want for Christmas, in a culture that put so much emphasis on telling what they want for Christmas AND you then not knowing what they hope for AND thus choosing a wrong gift, that the children's disappointment is real? And you just want to snatch that gift away, make it the most unpleasant day of the year, bully them into having to beg for forgiveness for their 'satan-led' ego or they'll never get anything ever again? Sorry, but all I see is YOU being led by satan. How mean can someone get? What's wrong with YOU? Christmas surely is about how God gave Jesus Christ to the world for the forgiveness of sins. It most certainly is not a sin to want to gift one another on this grand occasion, as we learn to give, how God gives. But all in good measure and that explained. Making it fun to think of which family or families one can surprise, by giving them something good and nice, just like Nicholas, the Christian from the 4th century showed his love. Nothing wrong with asking your children what they would like to have for Christmas, plus nothing wrong with laying out a budget, so money is there to also help those, who otherwise get nothing at all. Then involve your children in buying those gifts, wrapping them and even bringing them in secret. Such fun for the whole family. You'll install selflessness in a healthy manner, and teach them the joy of thankfulness and helpfulness. Joy to the world! And He didn't only come to save the Jews either... One can involve children like this from a very early age on, some at the tender age of three, most at four, some at five, depending on their development and capability to understand.

    @@gardenjoy5223 you can take it any way you want...dont think you're being any better judging me or anyone else. I'll say it again...December 25 is a man made holiday that is straight up nothing to do with the birth of Yeshua. Everyone likes to say it is to make themselves feel better. Do your research before speaking ..I've done plenty I assure you. I celebrate the birth of Yeshua everyday but that doesnt mean I have to give people gifts...that has nothing to do with his birth. Satan comes in many forms of light such as so called Santa Claus...evil lie! Obviously you are unaware that satans main purpose is to cause confusion, kill, steal and destroy Gods children...and what better way to do it than to make them think they have to celebrate a man made holiday that is no where in the Real Bible. You can drink the kool aid all you want...your decision. But once you know the truth...it is a sin to keep doing it.
