I need your opinion please. I am 6'7 height should I invest in BP/W from the get go? In my course I took 18Liter tank for 30m as well, so I'll need a bcd which can carry heavy wieght. Thnx.

Great advice. However, I do my diving when I'm traveling, and I like to travel with one bag that I can also take as carry-on. I did get a Mares Puck Pro, and I might get a mask because you are right: a terrible fit (like when it doesn't have enough space for my nose) is properly bad. But besides my underwater camera housing, clothes, shoes, toiletries, chargers and often a laptop, plus bits and bobs here and there, there isn't much space for anything else. Btw, that Mares Puck Pro actually behaved weirdly once. I think it was when I prepared for a trip. I fumbled with it and at one point it reset itself, and I think all diving data was lost. I had all the log files to my laptop as well, so nothing was really lost, but it was still a bummer. It hasn't failed on me while diving though.

a few random thoughts about fins: first, BUCKLES. Even if you are absolute beginner buying your very first pair of fins, avoid buckles at ANY cost and get SPRINGS. (Note: even if you buy fins w buckles, you can still replace buckles w springs on many types of fins.) Let's face it - diving IS expensive, in average you will be paying hundreds dollars for each dive trip. And here there is this small plastic component, which, literally, can create LOTS of stress and spoil all the fun. NOT WORTH. Even if you have to buy them separately, they cost just few tens of USD. The buckles break when someone steps on your fin (which happens more often than you might think, both aboard as well as ashore), buckles can be nightmare to put on AND to lock in when you rush with other 15+ ppl to jump into water quickly, they tend to open randomly during jump into water or anytime during the dive and then you can loose your fin. Second, a friendly tip for putting fins on - put the fin on your LEFT foot using your RIGHT hand (and vice versa), much easier :-) Personally, i would recommend Jetfins (or their equivalents), many of my rec diving friends use them very happily, they are dead easy to put on and off even in water, they also come in great colors or camouflaged designs, and color, as every diver knows is ultimately THE most important thing about all equipment :-DDD But seriously, you get nice kick from them and in future, when you start w underwater photography and video and need backicking, Jetfins are great for that. Unlike the plasticky-buckly-types they last ages, and, even should you stopped diving in future (but hell, why oanyone would want to do that? :-) ), again, unlike the rubbery/plasticky types which age quickly, you could always sell Jetfins at decent price.

I have a question: what abput the diving boots for the fins, last time I used my fins during a test to see and try them, I used them without boots and it was such an unconfortable experience, what can you recomend about diving boots and maybe some models to compare them? I am looking for a 3mm thickness

Hej Piolo! Most open heel fins are meant to be worn with boots. Comfort wise always go with a boot which comes above the ankle with some vulcanized rubber on the top of the boot. A good example of this is the Scubapro 4mm Base boot. You can check it out here: amzn.to/2Diqw3U Let us know if you have any further questions!

Get a decent mask & clean it with toothpaste before you use it. Then use an anti fog solution right before you dive...Or spit in it.

So far I can tell that there isn't a good one out there. The Cressi Calibro for example isn't a bad mask but the Anti-Fog-System doesn't work all the the time and on top of that it feels not very comfortable on your nose, too... well, at least on my nose! :)

A anti fog mask isn't really on the market. The only thing which we think comes closes is the cressi Calibro on which we did a review: kzread.info/dash/bejne/d3mu3LqAl9Oaeqw.html Best is to clean your mask properly and this is how it's done: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aq6HxrNrkdDSiMo.html
