I'm a native North American English speaker, and I've never heard the phrase "lay the table". We usually say "Set the table". This could be a regional thing, I guess. The bigger question is: Why am I watching instructional English videos? ;-) Keep up the good work!

Wow...i have yaken many tests but this test is my favourite ....and that is because the speaker is also explaining everything ( further details about grammar)

This was very interesting to watch as a native English speaker. We often don't know the terminology because we just know how to speak the language instinctively. I must add that some of the questions had more than one acceptable answer. The options for question 9 in the intermediate section were all acceptable. While one answer was more grammatically correct, all three options would be considered fine in conversation.

This test was very useful. The beginner level was really easy for me I have 10/10, the intermediate was pretty easy too , but the advanced level was very hard especially the second part of the test. English is not my mother tongue but I love learning it everyday. It's really cool when you improve your english day by day. I am going to follow your channel. Good job teacher

I come from a non-English speaking country. The last five questions very difficult, there were some words which were new to me. I only guessed "irreplaceable" because I had watched an episode of " Keeping Up Appearances," where Elizabeth breaks one of Hyacinth's cups and she tells Elizabeth that it was " totally irreplaceable! I recall lessons such as this from when I was in elementary school and Jr. high school. I remain totally perplexed. However, because everyone around me used proper and correct English all the time, I got all 30 questions right. It’s pretty much all about using correct grammar, vocabulary and syntax

If I'm reading your post correctly like me, you got the answer correct from memorization and repetitiveness? I only did the beginner test but i only knew the answers because it sounded right. We he taught why, i was totally clueless. lol

I’m an Italian 11 year old, turning 12 in 2 weeks. I found this test very useful. I’m a non-native English speaker and sadly, they don’t teach us much at school, if I didn’t learn English from myself, nowadays I would have been less than beginner level, but I got lower advanced and I’m very happy about it! I started learning English by myself when I was 9 or 10 by videogames and KZread videos and now I speak the language very fluently! Sadly I don’t really focus on grammar, I focus on dialogue more, but I’m trying to learn English very well because it’s very important in life! Have a good day❤❤❤

Hi! My native language is Portuguese( from Brasil). I made 2 mistakes at intermediate level and 2 mistakes at advanced level(C2), so I suppose my level is C1 Thank you very much I enjoy your videos and learn a lot !!

My English level is C1 which is generally an advanced English according to your test of course I'm not literally an expert but I can make them understand when I'm having a conversation with someone who doesn't understand my native language I'm eager to become a fluent English speaker since I was little but well i required to put more effort and improve my English just like the native speakers I'm curious to learn new vocabulary every single day and unique expression in English

Native English speaker here, just took Advanced on 140% speed. I had to rerun the chapter, however, to understand the explanations! In the language I use now I achieved C1 in vocabulary, C2 in grammar so took this test to help me understand my own results.

This lesson is amazing! I indeed enjoyed it.

I failed English all throughout school after dropping out I took a GED test ten years later and past it, including English. Now 45 years after that, I scored 80% in each of the three levels. I never learned any of the rules. I just go by what sounds right.

Frankly speaking advanced level(C2)...was challenging but we achieve a lot from the video you provide..thank you so much mady

I'm a native speaker, but it's good to brush up on my grammar. I scored in the lower advanced level (7 out of 8 in beginner, 8 out of 10 in intermediate, and 7 out of 10 in advanced). I love linguistics and have studied other languages in the past, so I have a knack for this kind of stuff

Native English speaker here, if you say one of the ‘incorrect’ sentences you will be understood. Don’t worry about being perfect in spoken conversations, we will understand what you are trying to say even if it’s not perfect. I speak TERRIBLE Spanish but I still get along just fine in Spanish speaking countries because the people I’m speaking to can puzzle it out.
