Poor guys routine, mine: wash it with body shampoo, comb it through with some cheap as* plastic comb while blow drying it, put body lotion in it, good to go...

Skip shampoo, invest in a nice carbon fiber comb like Chicago comb, who has body lotion? Body lotion is water

I am 49 years old and my beard routine is counting my hairs and hoping I don't lose any.

how much month does it take to grow this beard?

I wet my beard, comb it, get the excess water out so it is damp, apply beard oil, brush my beard, apply beard balm, brush the beard again, and use my trimmers to get rid of fly aways.

For a dense curly beard, I wash with a dedicated beard wash, rinse with warm water then hit it with a cold rinse (to lock the moisture in). Remove excess water by gently combing from the ends of the beard to remove tangles and work down to the skin. While beard is still damp (not dripping) apply oil to the skin first then hair. Comb though wait 5 minutes. Next blow dry out from under the beard then comb the front down and out (not under the chin) while using medium heat then hit it with a cold shot to hold the style. Then i gently apply butter or balm on the front and sides of my beard to control fly aways.

Fasho, something similar, give or take, here or there. I have a considerably dense and curly (even wiry, at points) beard that, despite great routine, is also always highly prone to being very coarse. I appreciate Jeff B and he has a ton of great videos, but I could never get away with [healthily] doing this to my beard, nonetheless easily and without extreme resistance and damage everywhere, etc. Im hardly much of a grass is greener on the other side type or "envious" person, but I do wonder how much easier and lower maintenance it would be if my beard was this fine and straight and easily manageable, esp as is the most common beard type

How is it going now? I’ve been a serial beard trimmer for years but I’ve made it to 6 weeks without trimming back down to sub 1/2 inch…. feeling quite self conscious but staying strong. I’ll be honest these tips videos are helping with my usual concerns about “mad beard” or itchiness etc.

it’s going good i’m dealing with the occassional itch and dry hairs but the oils i’m using are really helping. i have moments when i pass a mirror and the thought of shaving pops up but i fight it. i have a little less than half an inch of growth already

I wash it with shampoo and conditioner once a week or earlier unless it gets really dirty by accident like eating something that contains sauce or cooking oils... I apply beard oil twice a day. I comb it at most twice a day.

I use a hair dryer. the warmth makes it managable

Can anyone tell me the name of that brush?

Well you should start doing something.

My face is somewhat like his face shape chin being a bit broader than his. His stache pic whilst he trimmed his beard. His chin seemed very pointy whilst mine is a bit broader. But i am getting baldy from top. I kep my hair somewhat long from the sides and behind. Reaching almost shoulder length. The question is i have patchy beard. Bulk on chin and just little above that. Irregularly shaped. How should i shape it and how can i maintain it??

to feel patches, simply touch them with fingers ! now if u want to fill in your patches there's 2 things hair translasplant or tropical medications (minoxidil)

Your beard isn't manicured enough

Coconut oil and wash with natural soap at night twice per week. Comb in the shower every night to exfoliate the skin. Oil in the morning, but no comb. My beard is very curly, to the point where you can't get a comb through it.

Wash with shampoo, brush like a normal person.

You need to trim it a bit. It's too long and starting to look unkempt.

I lowkey hate how dudes with beards will keep that dumb high and tight haircut but will let the beard grow wild. Make up your mind.
