It is interesting that Tupp had no violent reaction towards Anakin because Palpatine had them programmed to not attack him. He was always planning for Anakin to become Darth Vader.

But now we see that the clones were ordered qiite before the phantom menace, so anakin wasn't a thing yet.

Clones age at twice the speed, and by Attack of the Clones (10 years after Phantom Menace) the first few clones were ready to go (about 20 years old, 10 years in real time). There's a popular fan theory that Palpatine influenced the midichlorians to create Anakin through the force since, in Palpatine's own words: *"Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith so powerful and so wise, he could use the Force to influence the midi-chlorians... to create... life."* If that's true, then the plan was way older than the clones themselves.

@@Brainth_1780 mm about when the clones were ordered that might involve a spoiler. Also, in the plagueis book, wich I dont know if its still canon, is hinted that it could be plagueis who motivated the creation of anakin, but not palpatine. Judging by the scene, you could think anakin was single out from the beginning. But nothing is assured yet. And personally it looks kinda foced to me. But it could be the intention of that scene.

@@francocba7301 it seems to me that the programming in the bio-chips can be altered , either when clones return to kamino or perhaps remotely, because we can assume the initial order was to kill all Jedi then become unquestioningly loyal to Palpatine, but we see and hear later on in series that certain non-Jedi individuals have been added to the kill list, whom were not a threat until well after initial programming, so its possible anakin was whitelisted once Palpatine started grooming him.

Man I love this arc. Doesn’t necessarily have the same kind of action as others but such a great arc nonetheless. One of the few moments where something seriously went against Palpatine and seeing him stress a little is so rare but so interesting to watch

Kinda like the Hostage Crisis episode where for once, he has zero control over the situation. He didn't hire Bane for the job, he's locked in his office with no communications and with another senator so he can't just do Sith stuff to get out. He's the most powerful person in the galaxy, and he is rendered completely powerless to do anything about the situation

When I first saw this episode I never imagined a line as simple and seemingly innocent as "good soldiers follow orders" would go on to give me chills whenever it's said.

It's about to get really real. Buckle up for the final two seasons. I hope you post all of the remaining episodes.

My favourite arc. So excited to see your reaction. It’s worth re-watching Ep3 after Clone Wars since you view it with so much more depth than before knowing what the clones went through etc.

I never quite noticed until now, Tup never even gives Anakin so much as a sideways glance while he's flipping out and it's because Anakin was made exempt from Order 66, even from the very beginning. I always thought it excusing Anakin from it was something Palpatine must've done after Windu's death, but it's a cool realization that, no, the chip was programmed to ignore Anakin probably from the very beginning

This Order 66 backstory was a wtf moment when it first came out. Loved this arc. Sad. But so good.

Emme. Good news. After you finish the Clone Wars, you can watch all six Tales of the Jedi with no spoilers. Then you can move onto the Bad Batch season one. Then to Star Wars: Rebels.

My theory is that Tup's "malfunction" was the result of him shooting down General Krell (although it was set to stun, he still shot a Jedi). What I am wondering about is whatever happened to Dogma, who actually killed Krell...

@@svkflyingace Okay, I've seen Tales of the Jedi recently and I get what you mean. Many years have passed between the production of these two series though. They may have just retconed it. I'm not saying I must be right, I'm just saying we can never know for sure.

Clone Wars was never really intended to be just a kids show. George Lucas said he intentionally wanted it to be almost too adult for children, and almost too childish for adults. Before Cartoon Network picked the show up Lucasfilm weren't sure where to put it, and even had to make cuts to some episodes.

This arc right after the last one... frustrating doesn't quite cover it, lol Great reaction, more to come!

Season 6 episode 1 and 2 this one of my favorite episodes these episodes are so dark

“We need some comfort after the season 5 finale.” I had to laugh at that; as you found out, this is not a comforting arc!

I think there are some important details which are in attack of the clones (episode 2) but which are easy to miss on first viewing. There's an episode later in season 6 that goes into these things again, so here are the basic details from attack of the clones: Obi-Wan went to Kamino, which had been mysteriously erased from the jedi archives by someone who must have been a jedi. There, he learned that the Kaminoans have been making a clone army for years, as instructed by master Sifo-Dyas, but Sifo-Dyas (mysteriously) died 10 years ago. Then Jango Fett (the original donor) told Obi-Wan that he was hired by a man named Tyranus, so it seems like Sifo-Dyas and "Tyranus" worked together to begin this clone army, and then Sido-Dyas died somehow. The jedi don't know anyone called Tyranus at this time (despite Obi-Wan tracking Jango Fett to Geonosis, where Dooku pretty much told him everything he needed to know). But the audience learns that this "Tyranus" is Count Dooku; Darth Tyranus, and hence Darth Sidious (his master) is also behind the creation of the clone army, and the clone war itself (which is somewhat evident by the fact that the leaders of the two sides of the war are these two sith lords).

Yk whats scary to think about.. The reason why Tup probably didn't go for Anakin was probably because of the Order 66. Btw if anyone didn't notice, Dogma from the Umbara Arc was also swayed by order 66. He took orders from only his captain and was loyal only to former jedi and then sith. Because in the beginning he was listening to Anakin. Just a fun fact. And also the "mission" and the "nightmares" that they were having was committing order 66 on their beloved generals and not knowing why

This first arc in S6 is one of the best arcs, the whole season is pretty solid actually. You'll be blown away by some details for sure Important Q: Are you only watching "important" arcs and skipping episodes or do you watch all episodes? Because you definitely shouldn't skip ANYTHING

Emme, i have been absolutely loving your reactions. I am begging you to please watch and post EVERY episode in season 7

The kaminoans say „these jedi are a curious folk“ because to them tyrannus is a jedi, they only care about science and they don’t differentiate between people they just think thejedi are weird paying us to execute them. Such a tiny voiceline yet it explains their entire attitude towards order 66. They dont care they just do it because they got paid to.

I would also highly recommend doing a reaction for the Wild Thornberrys Movie (2002) on KZread. It is a must see if you love animals like rhinos and elephants, it emphasizes why we must protect them from poachers
