I like "Resort for a Day". We have used them a few times, not just after a cruise but as an alternative option to port excursions during the cruise.

Sometimes flights in the PM get delayed from many airports. Sometimes it’s better to fly out the next morning.

A while ago, I commented/complained on your self narrative videos where you only directly presented your narration for just a few seconds in the front of your video, I love the change you made, You do a great job of explaining your ideas and seems to be more genuine story your presented. Thanks,.David

I've only gone on two cruises, but ended in Orlando. We always stayed an extra day or two so we could go to Disney World or visit places like St. Augustine.

Given that the advice (TSA, Airlines, etc.) is to arrive two hours in advance of your domestic flight, and it is not unusual to not be shoreside until 10:00 AM (picking up your bags, going through customs and immigration), and then you have to get from the cruise terminal to the airport, it seems like a flight at 12:00 PM would be problematic. If you can afford the time/hotel costs, then enjoying your destination city for a day or so is a nice way to end your cruise. Otherwise, I would not book a flight before about 4:00 PM. I've seen too many people stressed out on board, trying to push their way off the ship to catch a flight. Not a fun way to end a cruise.

I definitely experienced this stress flying home from MCO when I was on Mardi Gras and we had to divert the last night because of a passenger emergency (sadly, he died). We were late getting back to Canaveral, and I barely made my flight.

We have tired it both ways and for us traveling the day after is better. When we fly home the day the cruise ends we usually arrive home around 1AM and there are no dependable taxi or shuttle service.

IMO, the 'sweet spot' is 1 to 1:30 since you have to check your bags no later than one hour before the flight.
