"In this latest in our series of videos introducing technical indicators, we further explore oscillators, explaining why they are called leading indicators, before focussing on the Relative Strength Index (RSI). We demonstrate how to use the RSI, explain how it is calculated and run through the basics of using this momentum oscillator.

i have been overwhelmed, intimidated, and confused with trading for the last 2 years.. everything teaches me the same thing over and i don't learn much more. finally found a channel that actually TEACHES me!!! so glad !
Had to watch 3 videos about rsi before i found yours that actually explained what it was and not just how to use it. Thank you
Jump to 6:50 for the math behind RSI, great explanation, thank you!
This was an incredibly helpful explanation. I played with RSI in the past but after watching this, I can feel more confident in using it. Really enjoyed the illustrations of averaging the close ups and downs.
The RSI calculation is incorrect 10 / 14 isn't 1.4

yes but rather the opposite
Mr. Martin thank you so much for this lesson 👃
You guys are great. You keep succeeding in articulating main take-aways of the topic and you speak to the point without forcing us to listen to 15 mins of bullshit before you start feeding us something even remotely interesting.
I appreciate this .... I have actually been searching for this answer for quite a while ... thanks for the good explanation
Thanks 212. You've made buying shares possible for me. Making money.

Renko charts would be a good Christmas present?
Thank you... so informative
Can you do a video on the CI, Composite Index, which is related to RSI I think.
Great video
Do you have a video on the difference between trading long and short?
Is there any indicator that counteracts the false signals of the RSI as shown at the end of the video i.e shows you that they may be false signals? Many thanks
Yours was nice thought

There must have done videos about RSI before? From this channel. I am quite new to this, but I do find RSI quite useful

I think RSI is not enough in of itself. We should combine it with different tools/indicators to get more detailed signals.
Brilliant once again from Peter Martin 👍👍
How do you get the dark background on pc?
Which tool is used in this video for the graphic visualization of the RSI?
I really like your videos an everything but just one thing you fail to include is timeframes.. which timeframe would you use in these examples and such.. honestly I wish their were a really detailed video about timeframes and how to use the ones more important.. would be awesome if you made a video based on this.. 💯👊

The rsi is more powerful if you use it in a longer time frame then intra day.
the RSI calculation is wrong. 10/1.4 is NOT 1.4 instead 0.71

Another name for RSI?
Can we have Renko charts, it would help beginners since it cancels out a lot of noise, been asking for months?

Cheers! Thank you for your suggestion, Thabiso. We'll look into what can be done to add Renko charts to the platform.
Bro this ind called Oscillator - remember it and it works only in Flat . And its sorted in metatrader as Oscillator! Other indicators sorted as trend indicators, for example Moving Average is trend ind. so bro everything in this video is only for Total Flat will work , but not in tremd
Set up your account carefully! It is an important thing ️
Kindly add subtitles for people who are from other countries. It will be really helpful.
im using rsi since 2months didnt know its an leading indicator
I don't understand why you divide by 14 to get the average of 9 days up. Shouldn't you be dividing by 9?
How is 10/14 equal to 1.4????in which universe?
Nice shirt
Since when does 10 divided by 14 equal 1.4?

I can't divide 10 by 14. It always becomes a number different from 1.4.
Its a leading indicator/predictive kind, but could be fake . It shows how fast price goes up or down Though lagging is bad timing and missing out, but a signal quality Stel dat j alle indicators op je chart zet, kan je geld maken door te kijken wat de meeste zeggen waar naartoe zal gaan? Zowiesoo als je predictive indicators kijkt?
Are you still letting the first guy make videos? XD
those number give an RS of 2 0.72/0.36, what are you talking about? Therefore the RSI is 66.66
@8:45 Since when is 10/14=1.4, I get 0.71, some bullshit maths there!
So, do not use RSI?
Anyone day trade on 212?
well explain but RSI is not a good indicator!
