I have a masters in international law and think there were good intentions for it in the beginning considering the context of the time. It is also very clear as it excels at writing itself down. Unfortunately few are familiar with the technicalities of it so accept lies they are told about it. The fact it is legally unenforceable means it is generally useless and the purpose it has means the result of that is generally horrific. So I don’t think it’s adults as such but those in power positions politically in those countries because What adds salt to the wound is that it’s used as a weapon in that way to judge those breaking it while not being limited by it and lying to the community when you do with them accepting what they’re told by ppl who should understand the law

the entire UN is a joke , as long as they don't have the executive authority they can't do anything . they rely on the big countries to enforce the international law but those same countries are the ones breaking it … I think the UN should have it's own powerful Army (with every country contributing the same amount of manpower and a percentage of their GDP to avoid any bias) to be able to enforce any decisions taken by the ICJ or the general assembly (I agree with you the security council need to be abolished or at least reformed by removing the permanent member status and include more countries from each region )

I feel the "Invade the Hague Act" section needed a bit more gravitas to it. We have it enshrined in law to invade another country if any American is tried for war crimes or crimes against humanity.

Imagine if the police came to your door and said you're under arrest for [insert crime]. You then say I don't recognize that nor you (despite having signed off on it), then the police officer must walk away because they have no enforcement power . That's international law.

The U.N as an organization is actually great. However, its seems like its own so called "security council" is the one that hold them back a lot. That is the problem with international laws they only apply to the countries that sign and ratify them and only for as long as they choose to be a part of the treaties. the ICC would work if all countries were signatories but with the us and Israel not being signatories they have no way to enforce anything on them.

The thing is, they’re fucking crazy. They don’t support Israel because they love Jews and hate Palestinians. They support Israel because they believe that judgement day will be soon and all the “infidels” will be smited by god, so to them it doesn’t even matter. They just want the “infidels” to take themselves out. Also, I’ve seen a lot of people arguing by that Arabs are invaders, and while that may have been true initially, they skip over the fact that the vast majority of arabs aren’t even of pure Arab ancestry- if anything, Palestinians today are closer genetically to the Assyrians than peninsular Arabs.

Get why every country start flocking towards BRICS now? this is one of it.

We don't need "globalism" (often just a rightist, especially conservative buzzword), we need internationalism. Proletarian internationalism. We need to obliterate imperialism, and capitalism in general (though the world capitalist system has reached imperialism overall generally; they're one and the same, ofc).

One of the biggest markers of what will make a country successful is an unbiased legal system in which a citizen has no greater legal right than a non citizen. If international law was actually unbiased the world would become a richer place. America itself would become a better nation if its war crimes were tried with no bias.

Quick clarification: by legal right I actually meant that a person can bring a case against another person regardless of citizenship or non citizenship.
