Omg yes !! My gigi (grandma) told me the same. It made me soooo happy bc I'm the middle child (currently 13) and sometimes I feel like my mom loves my other siblings more, or like she favors them more, idk. But hearing that fron my gigi made me so happy.

@@marleycymon3512 Hey! Don't think that ur mom loves ur siblings more and don't be sad thinking about that. Every mother loves their children in the same way. A mother's love for their child is beyond everything. She loves u as much as she loves ur brothers or sister!☺ I'm a twin with my brother and i'm the youngest in the family and i also have 1 more older brother and one sister. I used to have those feelings that my mother loves my brother and sister more than me and it wad one of the most dumpest thing that my brain has ever thought! Haha😂😅 No matter what happens she loves u the way u are!!!☺

Here's the kindest thing I've been told: I was 19 when I came out to a straight male friend, a dude. I was afraid that I'd spoil our friendship but I decided to let him know anyway and told him that I'm gay and he just hugged me and said, "So what, man, so what?". Then I started crying a little and he hugged me even closer. Then I cried big. Nothing has changed. We are still great friends. He tells me about his girls and women and I tell him about my boys and men😂

Its good to be reminded there are good people like that around us because theres just so much negativity. Thank you for commenting this, it made my day.

Christmas Day, 2014, the tumor in my mom's breast burst and covered her remaining lung. She could barely talk let alone breath by the time the ambulance reached the ER... The doctor told us she wasn't going to make it, but my mom already knew that. Then she said something to me (in a very weak, whisper) shortly before moving her to the room she died in... 5 years later I asked my dad if she ever said anything to him at the hospital before she passed. He said she didn't speak to anyone after she got the news... My mother's last words were: "Son, you are the best thing that ever happened to me."

I gave my trenchcoat, scarf and gloves to a homeless woman that I walked by, that was shivvering in a bus stop on a cold winter's night. She didn't say a word, we just looked into one another's eyes. Her tears said everything, words weren't needed. I was cold for the 3 minutes it took to reach my home, but she was warm for a night.

What a powerful, beautiful sentiment!! That is such a simple statement but such a difficult thing to do for ourselves sometimes. It's really inspiring to hear that sentiment, because it tells me what a strong, resilient person you are, and that you had such incredible grace and patience for yourself in that moment. Thank you for sharing!!! I hope you are doing well, staying healthy, and continuing to be there for yourself.

I hear you: I, too, have that experience of being alone in hospital in the last decade (and knowing the difference to being there with lots of visitors and callers, parents, partners, and friends), and the best thing we can do is be kind to and care for ourselves mentally and bodily - as well as try to make new friends right there, by talking to other patients and finding. kindred spirits. I always succeed in at lease one whenever I’m in hospital, and it helps such a great deal. Hugs.

The thing is I was so depressed at the time but I was fighting each day and I never let it show and would always play with my baby sisters (who are twins, both with down syndrome ) I would take care of them and paint a smile on. When she said that, my tears immediately rolled down my face, but I felt like I could smile for real for the first time in years.

When I applied for my first job out of high school, I gave the worst interview and couldn’t answer a few questions because I was so nervous. But I was polite, and somehow, the interviewer (who became my first boss) decided to hire me. I always try to do my best, but I had a low opinion of myself. They trained me and helped me develop people skills, I was so grateful. They were one of the first people who gave me constructive feedback rather than just criticism. After about two years, out of nowhere, my boss said, “I’m so glad I hired you.” and it was so kind of them because they were the one who built me up. It made me feel like they saw my potential even when I couldn’t.

The kindest thing someone's said to me: I made a friend in the first grade. Her Mom soon deemed us "sisters" and herself my "other Mother". I had a very hard childhood and this wonderful woman always went out of her way to make things easier for me and to show me love. Going on a year ago, I was having problems with my housing situation and I went to stay with them for two weeks. On the day I was heading back to my home city, while saying goodbye, she took my head in both her hands, looked deep into my eyes, and said "You grew up beautifully." At that point she knew me from age 6 to 26. The amount of love and sincerity in her voice made that moment stand out to me. And it always will. She was always someone who I knew cared for me deeper than most. Her and her daughter, and now her grandson. I have a little family that I wasn't born into but I know will always love me as one of their own.

The nicest thing anyone has told me is that my teacher, the sweetest man on earth, told me that I really reminded him of his mom who recently passed away. Her favorite color was yellow. She also said that she loved his eyes. When I was president for the day, my teacher helped me out because I wasn’t sure what to do. I was controlling the whole school, or at least felt like it (I was about 7 or 8 at the time). At some point, I told him that his eyes were beautiful and that I saw a tint of yellow in them. I didn’t know that that was when his mother just died, I just blurted it out. Later when I left the school, he told me the story and left me in tears. He is still my favorite teacher to this day.

The lady at 7:00 surprised me by her answer. Not because of what she said per se, but because the question was "what's the kindest thing you've been told?" Rather than making it about herself, she made it about her daughter. Even in this little example it shows that she thinks of her daughter before she thinks of herself and I think that's really selfless of her.

But a (now elderly) man that I met in church and grew close to over 20+ years told me that I was like a daughter to him and that he was proud of the woman that I had become. That meant so so much to me. He's a wonderful human being. I think he's the most genuine, gentle and kindest man I've ever known.

My story is: My ballet teacher has been bodyshaming me for years and the last time it was really hard not to cry during class in front of everyone. After the class I was fighting not to cry and one of the popular ones (they usually ignore me) came to me, hugged me and said "Are you ok?" I answered that everything was fine and she replied "I know it's not, but I hope you know you're perfectly fine and don't listen to that stupid teacher. Always remember that I'm here for you and ready to give you love when you don't love yourself." I just cried in her arms, but it was the nicest thing somebody told me... Edit: Thank you all for so many likes and nice replies. Never forget that you are loved and you are important.

@NIA ALDC, don't listen to your teacher. This is the reason so many young people in dance end up with eating disorders. Everyone is made unique and beautiful and if we were all the same, this would be a very boring world. Shine in your uniqueness and beauty and don't ever let anyone make you feel less than them. Smile and know that you are beautiful and loved; and, if your teacher is bullying you, know that it is coming from something lacking within herself.

People are often pushed to the verge of killing themselves because they have been struggling mentally for so long, often deprived of love. At kindergarten-age, I got sick with chickenpox and that one evening I was lying on the couch with fever, quite in a dizzy state. Still though I kinda overheard my mother's friends, they were sitting around me in the living room. Chatting about how dangerous it actually is for my mum to be around me, 'cause she never had chickenpox herself and getting infected as an adult would be fatal. Next time she came to give me water, I told her to stay away 'cause she is not safe and when she refused, I was stressed out and asked her why she is putting herself at the risk of her life. Then, with a smile and laughter in her voice I will never forget, because it conveyed to me that I am far too young and little to understand the whole situation yet, she simply said: “Because I love you.”, as if it was just the most natural thing in the world. It took me more than a decade to recall this, but since then it's my most precious memory and to be honest, I've never experienced something that would be even comparable to what I felt right then, at this tender age. The soothing, reassuring tone of her voice, combined with the way her eyes laughed along when she spoke those plain words, left me awestruck and quiet in that very moment. Knowingly that even though I might not have fully understood everything she meant with her answer, I was totally overwhelmed by the serenity her pure love wrapped me around with.

I remember back when I was 11 I was talking to a stranger on Instagram who I didn’t know. We were “dating” and my Mom found out. That night my dad came home and asked me why I would talk to a stranger I didn’t know (and trust me it was BAD me and this boy would talk about sex and things to each other) and I told him it was because he told me I was beautiful and that he loved me. My dad looked at me, I was expecting him to yell at me and be mad, but his voice was so calm and he said “You are beautiful and just because this stranger says you are beautiful doesn’t mean they really love you. I’m only upset because this stuff scares me and I don’t want anything to happen to you.” And I believe that was one of the nicest things that was ever said to me. Instead of yelling and being super mad, he was calm and comfort me. After that I didn’t talk to that person anymore and I’m glad my parents found out. I will never forget what he said to me. It lifted me up because at the time I was feeling lonely, my friends had boyfriends and I didn’t and I just wanted to be like them, but my dad really helped me with those few words and it’s something that makes me happy to this day. It showed that he cares.
