Im glad that a company finally states that a stud finder works on plaster and lath, 16 inch is typical but in some places 20 or 24 is also common as well

Oh Lord, studs in an 150+ year old house, MAYBEEEEE 6" MAYBEEEEE 16" 🤣. But there is no stronger home than the one I live in❤️ I love her, and need something to help me find wires/studs, so I can rewire her.

Oh, oh.... if you have old brass hardware on your windows and doors and stuff but they are covered in paint or old varnish, don't throw them out... Get an old crockpot from a second-hand place and put them in with Dawn dish soap for a few hours and scrub them, if that doesn't work use Citristrip paint remover in the crockpot on low or keep warm for a couple of hours, takes it right off beautifully.

hi, Walabot will detect your wall wiring down to 4in deep. Walabot detects wires by detecting a change in wall density.

If they invent one that tells me where the mortar is between terracotta blocks behind plaster, I'll buy one.

I don't know if my wall is drywall or plaster. If my regular walabot works on my wall, is my wall dry wall?

16 or 24" stud spacing. 12 or 14 is very rare.

When will the walabot plus be available for iPhone. I have an old home with plaster and lathe walls and would love to find something that better locates objects behind them.

Walabots are only recommended for drywall. Unfortunately, we don't have any units working on lath and plaster at the moment but we are working on it.

as an electrician, your market should be us, often times i just cut a hole not knowing where the stud is located (plaster and lath). i just purchased one of your units for this purpose, i can find drywall studds just fine knocking with my knuckles or with a magnet or cheapo stud finder that i purchased in 2007, which i still use, with the same 9v battery that refuses to die. point in case stud finders are cheap, but if your tool can accurately locate studs in lath and plaster, or even the bastard child of that which i recently came acrossed...... steel mesh over 1/4" drywall, + steel mesh then a 1/4-1" layer of plaster...... help me lord god, allah, vishnu anyone..... i was reallly interested when you were a startup, and i am still interested now. i hope that your company coroborates with NDT labs like hutchinson mn and the other two in the usa which use penetrating radar imaging to get the best results. as a electrician the best that i can hope for is maybe i'll recommend the product, but i wish you have the funds to R & D to make it better too.
