Mixtapes are usually a less quality recording. They usually give them a basic mix but don't master them. He just didn't cover that part.

Build an online presence. Build a brand with a message connected to why you make music and what the purpose of your music is for. Build a theme to your brand. Meet lots of people and build connections and they will recognize if you are serious about your brand and if you are they will take on to it and start riding with you. Then last of all try to travel and perform and get your music out as much as possible. The more people realize you’re really about your craft. They will slowly start recognizing you as your brand instead of the person. Build a brand and become dedicated basically.

Mixtapes most times are created like albums. Its artist recording and saying exsctly what they want to their fans. Atleast in rap and hiphop. Theyre not ALWAYS album extras. Cause in some cases thats also true
