Insightful, cheers
This video has been so great! I'm prepping to send out a pack of demos to labels like LTF and Altra Moda. Thanks a bunch for this.
love the video!
appreciate the honesty
thanks Josh!
great video!
Love these videos! Could you do a video about running a label? Would love to know more about the steps involved e.g. using distributors, contracts, promotion and marketing etc.
Sound advice, I made the mistake of emailing multiple labels. Signing to the first that offered and then a larger label contacted saying they are interested. It also helps with regards to exclusivity from the label’s perspective, raising kudos with you the artist.
These comments crack me up good work Josh 👏
I have the same problem. Making track I don't play in my sets. Fine-tuning and fixing that! atm.

Great video! I'm always sending dropbox link, is that bad?
How many demo songs at a time is ideal to send to a label? Is one single enough or should you always give 2-3 or more options?

I normally check the label releases for that one. If they have been releasing only singles then there's your answer! 1 track should do it. Most labels are going to like 2-3 though, shows you are in it for the long haul.
How about as a producer, how do i send beat
When sending a demo songs. Is it okay to send your released song or it must be a unreleased song?

if you've released a song, its not a demo.

When is the best moment to send my demo?

Whenever the music is ready!
Pitching to one label at a time every two weeks is not really great advice. If you have two labels or three or four interested in you it only benefits you. They used to call that bidding wars. That's how you actually get a good deal . I would take this advice with a grain of salt.

'they used to' is the key part here. Not sure what genre/era you're referring to, but the current electronic music scene, specifically house music does not work with this.
I know this is totally unrelated, but it pains me to see that Prophet so out of reach lol
