I'm still using my old(really old) Superfeet cork footbeds because hey still work and I cant get anything better.

I made the switch this season from the All Mountain to the Freeride. From my feelings/perspective on the footbeds the new Freeride are like the old All mountain and Old Freeride had a wonderful baby that got the best from both and then some. Cant express enough how great Patriot footbeds are

New stuff looks good. No snow here in the mid Atlantic usa

Are these footbed’s suitable for snowboard boots?? I struggle with foot pain no matter the boot brand and heat moulding in store and always find buying a high arch footbed and modifying it myself seems to get better results. I’m currently using a Sidas high arch but I’m keen to try the Patriot Freeride footbeds in new Burton Photon boots.

Yeah absolutely! they go great in snowboard boots. :)

High-arch, not really a park or freestyler skier. Are there downsides to going with the freestyle footbed? In this comparison it sounds “better” - but is it too much if the activities aren’t high impact?

No High arches are better suited to the freeride. Better shock absorption is the bonus! :)

Are your foot beds the same thickness heel to toe or is the heel a little thicker?

Directly under the heel is a little thicker due to the shock absorbing foam, but it is minimal and won't interfere with your fit.
