Dwell time is the amount of time the valve is open. With a Spool valve marker, you are not actually operating the bolt engine, you are operating a bypass valve that drives the bolt engine, Ions are a good example, electro ions use a noid to direct airflow to the front/back of the sail oring moving the bolt engine foreward/backward which cuts off high pressure airflow and dumps the volume chamber pressure, when the marker is setup as a mech ion, the noid is replaced with a 3way valve which is user activated, the user is directly acting on the valve in the same way the noid would. With stack tube poppets(and most poppets, but i'm focusing on adjustable ones) like an autococker, the IVG controls the mechanical dwell of the valve by increasing or decreasing the tension on the spring, input pressure and valve return spring pressure can have an effect on what optimal dwell vs pressure will be, PE guns use a noid to control the rammer(which is essentially a spool valve itself) which actuates the bolt assembly and applies pressure to the valve stem opening the valve the duration that the valve is open is a combination of electronic dwell, input pressure, valve return spring tension. Yes I'm bored.

I'm just getting back into paintball (played 1999-2005). I was amazed that the 80ci is smaller than the old 68ci ones we used back in the day. I'll definitely be rocking a 80/4500

There no way. I haven't had my hands on any new tanks but mathematically that doesn't work. I had a worrgames 70/4500 and it was like 3 or 4 pounds.

Really like paintball question time! Also I agree 100,000% that paintballs need to be improved more than anything else in Paintball. Every year they make improvements to everything except paintballs. It makes me crazy, the last few years I have been dealing with bad paint from (unnamed company), the paint was coming from China it was horrible.. then it was coming from Canada was ok to bad, now coming from Korea and its good .. then Bad .. then Good .. now the last few weeks Bad. Most of the time the paint is from the field, so you don't have a lot of control where the paint comes from. Thanks for the video.

When you talk about Dwell settings, what would be best to move > up or down 2 - 5 - 10 clicks at a time ??

It's really going to matter the gun. most are just it by increments of one and should be only adjusted by increments of one. going from 10 milliseconds 20 milliseconds is a huge jump. For the most part those stock dwell is fine for most paintball guns.

Should I buy the Proto Rize Maxxed or the Etha 2? For each gun which loader should I get? Is there a place I can buy nets for my backyard so it's safe to play paintball?

Etha 2. I would look at the Halo Too, Dye Rotor LTR or Empire Prophecy Z2.

touching on what you said about paint being more consistent. I would have to agree that would probably have to be my number 1 wish aswell. I think there is indeed room for improvement. However there are other variables playing a role here in quality of paint we are receiving. I think a lot of it depends on what happens to that paint after it leaves the manufacturer. Temperatures, age, and handling can make an affect aswell. But at least a size consistency could potentially be improved upon. Didn't I hear somewhere that virtue is coming out with paint?

How can you tell the difference between good paint balls and bad?

The basic problem with paint is that since it's biodegradeable, it's also essentially perishable goods. So age, handling, storage etc. affect the quality when you actually get to the point of shooting it. Just like you can't buy an apple that stays fresh forever until you eat it. I don't think they can fully solve the quality issues unless we go to non-biodegradeable paint -- and that is a whole different can of worms...

I typically use these opportunities to practice my left hand shooting. I'm a righty but I'll shoot lefty the whole day pretty much. I end up playing a lot more conservatively.

what was your job when you worked for angel, and what was it like? #pbqt

So I recently purchased a Tippmann mp1 and played at my local field and after I got home I wanted to try and change the firing modes with no idea what I was doing and that next Saturday I took out my gun to play and it wouldn't shoot so I'm thinking I messed up the settings while I was trying to program the firing modes so if there is a reset button to change it back to normal and if anyone can help please comment

A paintball circuit board can sometimes pick up electronic "noise" that it interprets as a signal to fire. The debounce setting helps the board filter the noise to only read actual trigger pulls.

I bought an axe 2.0 . Not gonna upgrade anything except for a a barrel . That’s it.

Could you do a video on the etha 2 like you did with the axe 2 because I'm torn between the two and I think many other people are too

They are good guns, I'm just a fan of the way they feel. It a bit to small for me. Plus some of them have reliability issues.

That doesn't sounds right, Badlands paintball has paint at $50 CDN on there site right now. If a fields is charging you that much more for field paint, it sounds like the owner of the business is gouging there customers.

i do think need to get rid of the thick shelled crap. stop wasting everyone's time and money with 50 cal. if they really wanted to make low impact paintball, they would burn down the factory that produces 1 star. bam, now everything will be low impact. but the problem is twofold: 1) greedy paint companies with the race to the bottom, trying to squeeze as much margin out of dogshit as they can, and 2) greedy field owners that want to keep paying 12 bucks a case for a skid of 1-star and then flipping it for 50 a case with 30 dollar entry so they can make money off bachelor parties. the only way to force higher quality paint is to purchase more of it. if your field only sells bottom feeder shit, bring your own paint. if that's not an option... start your own field i guess? idk :|

I appreciate your insight and opinion and I won't be offended, even if we disagree. That being said, I have an MBA and I absolutely do know what I'm talking about. No one wants to talk about it, but fields' endless quest for fatter margins are a large problem with paintball today especially in areas where the customer does not get to choose from multiple fields to play at. The vast majority of fields don't even pay their employees, they just exchange labor for paint and entry. There is one and only one clear word in the English language to describe this sort of behavior, and that is greed.
