Engaging with the Quran is a form of worship. Stop at the verses that amaze you and let it move your heart. Take time to smell the flowers. Set an amount of time to read/recite/listen to the Quran daily. May God make us people of Quran.

This halaqah was really necessary in my opinion, too many people just blast through the Quran without stopping to ponder upon what is being said, such that the verses go inside one ear, and comes out the other, it's high time people stop doing so, and it's time we stop reciting the Quran without understanding it's content

May Allah swt guide us so we read the qur'an in the correct way ameen 🙏

When we recite with a recorded Video it takes about 25 hours so if we recite 1 hour daily we can go through Quran recitation 15 times a year similarly we can see how much in 30 minutes daily and 15 minutes daily. If one recites Quran 5 minutes daily easily can recite the Whole Quran in a year. One needs to go through and see. Good thing we are rewarded for our effort, even for thinking planning, and Reciting, and discussing it. SubhanAllah.

The only way I could see the difference was to put a new filter in and put the new one on and it would take me a few hours and I would be able to see the difference

There are many different books out there, Baina yadeik, silsilat books of Nahwy, sarf, qiraa,taabeer, kitaaba Al kalaam( conversation between people) you read and practice with others..... You start from your level In shaa Allah. As you try to apply them from different aspects/ perspectives you don't miss understanding little by little everyday. I started from being ignorant not knowing harfs to reading more. It's all about determination, perseverance, hardwork, you'll pull through In shaa Allah. The Almighty shall guide you from your struggles! Just with Nia. All the best. Follow different Arabic sites too in the net.

The "quran for all" app in which lectures of tafheem and tafseer etc. are given in english aur urdu. Please check this app. You can listen and even can make your own note or diary for quran. Choose fehm ul quran and commit yourself, one day for one lecture.

Narrated Muhammad bin Ka'b Al-Qurazi: "I heard 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud saying: 'The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "[Whoever recites a letter] from Allah's Book, then he receives the reward from it, and the reward of ten the like of it. I do not say that Alif Lam Mim is a letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter." As the Prophet ﷺ said: Verily the one who recites the Qur'an beautifully, smoothly, and precisely, he will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels. And as for the one who recites with difficulty, stammering or stumbling through its verses, then he will have twice that reward.” May Allah make it easy for u!

Im a kid and haven't started reading quran yet but I'm thinking of starting can you tell me which amount of time is best for someone who thinks he might easily lose focus if it is a long time and maybe feel regret and also someone who is pretty determined at the same time?

Just try reading three verses each salah and if you can’t do that try reading three verses every fajr and isha salah everyday. And then you will get used to reading more and more

Sheikh, could you also explain if reciting Quran from a tablet and cell phone, do we get less credit vs. if we read from traditional paper Quran? I don’t know why that would be the case, but I have two people that have told me this and I needed an answer to this question.
