Nars Radiant Creamy concealer is by far the best concealer I've ever used. I love it

Rio you are lovely and have such a soothing voice! This video is SUPER helpful and to the point. I think you explained the differences really clearly and helped solidify the nerves I have with my new shape tape. I just ordered some last night and have been using the It cosmetics your skin but better cc cream which is amazing but is even a little too dark on my skin for full coverage. I did recently purchase too faced born this way concealer that's lighter for under eyes and highlighting other areas on my face but it's not quite what I was hoping. It's a little too thin and doesnt seem to mix great with the cc foundation. Thanks a lot!

Tarte Shape Tape is so drying on me to the point I get dry little flakes. Although it covers dark circles it accentuates lines and wrinkles and makes my undereyes look like I’m 20 years older. Nars Radiant Creamy is much less drying. However Tarte has a better shade range in all of their concealers compared to Nars. In Nars the lightest shade Chantilly is too light and Vanilla is too dark. They just came out with a new shade in between called Affogato which is always sold out and too peachy. I need a neutral shade in between Chantilly and Vanilla. I have to constantly mix Chantilly and Vanilla together or Chantilly and Creme Brûlée. The next lightest neutral shade they just came out with, Madelene is too dark too. I think I’ll start mixing Chantilly and Madelene together. Unfortunately the newer shades are always sold out in Sephora and even online.

Hi your comment was really helpful tbh (moreso than the actual video lol.) So I'm a drugstore person but I need to invest in higher coverage and quality concealer. I have the deep set sunken eye issue not bags under my eye and everything creases on me as well and I'm in my mid 30s. The Tarte seems like its consistency is too heavy and would crease on me and after setting with powder forget it! Can I ask for reference what you use concealer for is it dark circles, hyperpigmentation etc. If you dont mind. I'd like to buy the Nars. Thanks for the in depth comment and the shade names too super helpful. Actually heading out shopping and this is super helpful. Thanks Cozette any further feedback (from anyone reading this!) would save me time aggravation and money! The drugstore concealers are just not doing a thing for me. 👍😊

why dont you buy another brand? after buying 4 high end concealers this year, nars vanilla is 1:1 my skin tone so my search is over. if they dont offer your exact skin tone, look somewhere else. YSL is very hydrating, rms makes awesome concealers as well

I love the shape tape. I’ve used it over my tinted sunscreen as a foundation. I put it on the back of my hand, a couple of dabs and tap under my eyes with my finger and blend with the It cosmetics concealer brush. I have large pores on my nose so I put the concealer on my nose and massage in. I think this product is fabulous and love it as a primer for eye makeup. Your review of both products is spot on. The Nars is a bit too light for me. Thanks!

Do you ever wear two different shades - one lighter one for under eyes and one regular tone for face concealing?

Tarts shape tape is not dewy it’s matte though?

Misleading review🙄 Don’t use the same beauty blender when you are comparing two different products. Especially when one of products gives more covering than the other one😒

the difference is that one is more expensive for less! -- if you get the new Tarte Shape Tape ultra creamy formula, the formula and pigmentation is just much better than the NARS creamy

I love the NARS radiant creamy concealer. I have very dry sensitive skin. I was thinking about switching to the tarte ultra creamy concealer.

I found that with the Nars Concealer, it set in to my my under eye lines which made my wrinkles look really visible. I just got the shape tape so I hope it doesn't do the same.

Yes, me too. You have to build it so much in order for it to actually cover your dark circles that it gets cakey and sets into lines- 100% agree. In my opinion, the Nars doesn’t work for under-eyes at all (unless yours are perfect and barely discoloured- mine are pretty dark purple!). For the rest of my face it was fine, but it wasn’t powerful enough to take on any real discolouration (blemishes included). It reminded me more of a foundation than a concealer tbh.

Does anyone know what shades she's using? I'm neutral in shape tape and I'm trying to figure out what my shade would be in the nars.

Second view- who the hell has their foundation, eyebrow and eyeshadow makeup on and then midday uses primer over everything and adds in concealer? Unless she didn't do foundation or anything at all that day. But I'd say she's had makeup on for hours. Either way, this demo is crap and her undereyes don't look any different whatsoever on either side. If they did, it'd be even more annoying that they film this video on the opposite side of her face while she's doing her makeup on each side

My under-eyes are pretty dark and I could immediately tell that while the Nars concealer was nice for general brightening/evening out my skin tone on the other areas of my face, it did next to nothing for my dark circles. For the life of me, I couldn’t get it to cover up the purple/blue… I had to PACK it on and basically let it dry right from the applicator to my face (without using the beauty blender at all) in order for it to do what I really needed. But then it just ended up looked cakey and uneven because I’d obviously used too much. I’m surprised they market it as medium-full coverage. For me, light-medium is much more accurate. I also went through it VERY quickly because unless you have near-perfect skin, you have to “build” it a lot… so be prepared to run through that tiny tube real quick. 🥲 I’ll be trying the Shape Tape this next time around and I really hope it serves me better, cause these aren’t cheap 😂!
