I'm glad that we had some great moments in For Honor and I will always remember the community and all the compilations. I loved every meme video too and the face reveals and pasta. However, I do remember refreshing every single time watching the view counter crawl on those heavily edited and time consuming videos we worked on, and then watching you post a duel game or 2 and it just taking off instantly. This is also what kind of killed my interest in KZread. I like making the heavily edited videos but, even to this day my most viewed video is just us in a dominion game that I do well in. I think this is a step in the right direction man and I'll always be around to make more funny moments and watch what I consider your best work. ❤

I don't think KZread has recommended me a single one of your videos unless it was for honor. Since you've stopped, every time I've come to your channel has been from me searching it up. Personally I've always just enjoyed your commentary. Your approach to fighting games like for honor or soul caliber is very engaging to me and it helps me learn these respective games more. Considering thatyour livelyhood does not depend on the channel, you do have the freedom to record what you like, trends be damned. Part of the notification problems is KZread defalts to "personalised" notifications and people need to switch their "bell" icon to full. Even then it does skip videos or the notification may get drowned by other videos is one has a tonn of subscriptions. Keep up the good work =)

I remember those days Mege, it was astounding watching all of your videos- it was unfortunate that For Honor picked up so fast and then was dropped so hard by most of the community it was the same for me as well with how jank the game was at the time now I only watch people play the game sadly like Faraam who still consistenly uploads but it was good while it lasted and the new champs look cool as well, but you should do what you do best... which is play and edit the games YOU wanna play not what is considered main stream and everyones gonna like it, this is your story on KZread and you decide how you wanna do it whether its with your friends or just for giggles or whatever, man. You should definitely try KZread shorts bro because it might be more up your alley for creating short funny videos with your friends while still getijng a leg up in the KZread game. Honestly speaking tho i think it's great you want to take your channel down a path that makes you overall happier in general bro. Hey Mege, if it’s anything to say, you were one of the OGs I watched 6 years ago, and I actually found this video on a nostalgia trip with the collab you did with Spliced, Havok, and BloodyEnviouz (miss that guy). The highest echelon of For Honor has become extremely polarizing, and I personally have been enjoying it a TON playing with friends in the comp scene. Granted, being an actual tournament player is very different than being a casual, but learning how to gank and adapting to the new meta has been a complete joy. If nothing else, were you to come back, it would be a pleasure to help you come into the new meta and have some laughs. Of course, the direction of your channel is up to you ultimately, however if you were to get the urge to make some form of return, or even if you just wanted to play the game casually without making videos, you’d have both an audience, as well as a pretty cool group of people that would love to play alongside you just for the fun of it. Anyway, good to see you’re still doing okay man, and hope you get the satisfaction you want out of the channel.

I just realized that I'm subbed, and still haven't seen any of your videos recommended.

Having sunk about a thousand hours into it on the console version I have to agree. What killed me, what really stopped me playing the game with the consistency I had prior, was Shaman's release. How bad the bite tracking was despite the fact that apparently every comp player who tested her prior bringing it up and they released her like that anyways. I came back every so often after that for new heroes (Warmonger release being the last time i tried to play seriously) but I began to always hit the same issue. You hit a wall skill wise and eventually it's like...50/50 is the only viable thing in the game pretty much period if you're fighting someone who's not even great at the game, just strongly competent. Use your one move that forces a guessed reaction and then punish. That's what the whole combat system boils down to at a certain level, or it was when I was playing. The entire Art of Battle system needs a deep rework and I've honestly been saying that since the days people were complaining about oni charge meta and unparryable unlock attacks. I hope the game eventually sees a sequel and gets the core combat work it so desperately needs because the system still has potential...but I knew pretty quickly that it wouldn't work very well as it was. Not when I noticed guard breaks had transitioned from their intended use as an opener to instead being a punish tool. Not when it took them what, 3 or 4 seasons or more to remove gb on parry? Definitely not after the absolute shitshow that was the hero series leading into season 3. I moved to playing Mordhau and Chivalry ages ago and am frankly amazed at how much tolerance some people have had with For Honor. My thousand hours is a pittance compared to some of yall and I really can't blame you for getting burnt out on it.

I subbed for for honor my favorites were the salty montage videos lol. I however don’t personally have a interest in games like Dragons Dogma or 1 v 1 fighter games. That said I quit for honor a couple of years ago myself. They should’ve just made a sequel by now.

It's a luxury to have both. Making videos for yourself? The truth is that it's selfish. As content creators? Our job is to entertain and inform. Our job is service. Our job is making other people happy. That's why changing games is extremely difficult. Most channels don't survive changing games. I'm doing the same thing shifting away from a game that I came to hate and couldn't hit the record button for anymore. But people only care about what they care about, and least of all content creators since we're replaceable. You were there at the beginning of For Honor which made you a household name. For me? It was State of Decay 2. Now I hate the game and its developers, and I am glad to never play it again. But the content pivot is challenging. It requires a complete recalculation and a deadset focus, and even then it may not work. The thing about Guilty Gear you have to ask is if there's room for more Guilty Gear content creators. Is it already saturated with household names that people are happy with? I chose a game that has few content creators, and I chose to focus on doing content that they don't.

With no intention to be rude Mege, but when you're making an KZread Channel you gotta decide whether you are doing for yourself or for your viewers. Rare are the youtubers that can choose both. These 20 seconds clips might seem amazing to you and your friends that shared the moment with you, but they don't appeal at all for viewers that expect something different from this channel. Like, why would I watch 20 seconds of random gameplay with little to no value of entertainment? So I think that if you're OK with making videos for yourself and don't expect to improve your channel or get big views, by all means, do it. But if you would like to try and improve the channel and hit more views, this won't do it. It all comes down to the question: What's the point of this channel for you? A library of good memories for self use or trying to be an entertainenment business.
