hawks fans want c.tanev and m.domi. the dream signing is stamkos.

Bedard certainly looked good-the Black Hawks will be bottom feeders for a few more seasons ,but, the future looks bright,IMHO-thanks for the breakdown.

1/2 the team was injured for half the season.

Great Video, as usual, Mike. I said, before you said it, that I also think that it's the case My Chicago Blackhawks don't do any of the UFAs Re-Signs. I'm thinking that everyone is going to be mad, because, I think My Chicago Blackhawks are going to get the #1 Pick again & it's going to be called A Fix, even though people who say that do not understand that it's not so, because Random Selection is not the same as it being any guarantee that The San Jose Sharks will win it. Anaheim did not win & ended up losing out to Chicago. I think that they're going to go after some names, from what GM Kyle Davidson said about not going for only picks. If he leaves Tampa Bay, they might go after Steven Stamkos. Let me know what you think.

I would ok with another bad year we’re bottoming out after this season we probably have a slight improvement 6-10 points which isn’t gonna move us more than 2-3 places likely take another good player this draft and next and then we can start acquiring high end FA for the long term

Thoughts: aquire Bedard whole line and defense pairing from world's prior to his draft. For chemistry already in existence. Go and trade for Maybe Brayden Point or Mitchell Marner to go on top line .add skill lacking it at moment. Trade 4-7 round picks for seven years at once for 7 firsts and 3 seconds (analytics) for capital..maybe the 2 chip goalie from Toronto Maple Leafs he needs an new home....flurry in minasota couldn't hurt he still got two years in him. Mitchell Wasnidge aka Flint Ps sign and trade never hurt

Hey you probably won’t see this comment Top Shelf but just an FYI now that we’re post draft lottery. The Hawks are still eligible to win the lottery again for the next 3 years Elliotte Friedman clarified before the draft the new rules. “Winning the draft lottery constitutes moving up or advancing in draft position.” The Hawks picked at their finished standing position that being 31st. Meaning they didn’t advance. Technically if they would’ve finished last in the league and picked Celebrini they would STILL be eligible. But that’s moot. Here’s hoping the Hawks aren’t even picking in the lottery in the next 3 years

Davidson will be aggressive to use trade capital and I hope Reichel to get another first round pick to make it 3. We need bigger high octane forwards and big mobile defensman. I would like to see them get their pick, Tampas pick and maybe a pick near 10 and draft Lindstrom, Iginla and Hage. In the second round, keep one pick and get an over 6 foot RD. They actually could use the number 20 pick to do that and use their late 2nd round pick for another big winger. If they get the first overall pick, take Celebrini because he plays a 200 foot game and can be the leader/captain of the team just like Toews was. Bedard needs to get faster and hone his game to the speed of the NHL and avoid contact more. He goes down like a rag doll when he tries to skate through people. If he had more speed he would be harder to line up.

Good catch - the salary cap killed us but at least we got 3 Cups out of it.

They could at least try to make some splashes in the draft, trades and free agency. I also think that Luke Richardson and his coaching staff are on the hot seat and, if things don't change for the better when the regular season starts, he will be shown the door.

Luke Richardson is 1000% not in the hot seat. This was basically our first season of the full rebuild and Kyle Davidson knew that they would lose a lot of games. I think KD also knows that our young players are being coached to develop really well rn (apart from Reichel’s bad sophomore slump). Coaching staff is not in the hot seat though

Why would you take time to type this? You are 1000% incorrect. The Hawks did NOT want to win this season... They fielded an AHL team deliberately. Richardson is not going anywhere. We are in the upswing of a rebuild starting with the entry draft of 24....

Yeah, so they can maybe make the playoffs and be out in the first round? they're being built for a long run as cup contenders, and you don't do that overnight.

They are at least ten years away

Who, Bedard? Was Pittsburgh immediately a great team after they got Crosby? The Oilers after McDavid?

Was in Chicago April 12 and went to the game vs Nashville. This is a bad, bad hockey team. They are years and years from the playoffs.

They should try and sign a all star winger for bedard for next season
