I think he and Colby should be next, if Colby is up for it. Ian has finally won against a name and he's weaseled his way into the top 5. Let him fight Colby before he gets to the real competition. That'll be a great payday and, hopefully, a good send off Covington as a retirement fight. Then Ian Garry can go on and do Ian Gary things. You should refresh your definition of compelling. Shavkat is 18-0-0 with all wins by finish, Garry just scraped by MVP. They are on different levels. Winner of Burns/Brady should be next for Garry, both are legitimate step ups in competition for Garry

Ian has won 88% of his UFC fights with pure striking and has shown that he is an excellent striker. Now when finally faced with someone who was a better striker, he showed he can grapple, it's good to be a well-rounded martial artist. And nobody in the top 5 is a better pure-striker than MVP, so I think he has a very good chance striking with all of them...

Ian Garry was shit scared of striking with MVP after getting lit up by the faster striker, so suddenly turned into a low grade wrestler and cheesed his way to a win with hugs and cuddles. He was terrified to let a fight break out. The second Garry started wrestling was the second he gave up on finishing MVP and changed to merely hoping to survive to the end without getting knocked out and winning due to control time.

I thought Garry vs MVP was an awesome fight. Total "back and forth" war. Funny thing though, a lot of people didn't see it the way I did. I really enjoyed it though. MVP is always entertaining, and Garry did a better job than I thought he would. I felt the whole card was pretty damn good, especially considering all the problems leading up to the event.

Let’s talk about MVP, UFC needs to give him opponents who are willing to engage. He’s an exciting fighter, they should capitalize on that. They should sign Diego Lima for their rematch.

I think he beats Colby. Colby in the past few fights hasn't looked in anyway the dynamic fighter he once was. Garry isn't terrible, he's actually pretty elite, and we saw against Leon that Colby can be pieced up. I think he beats Colby handily.

I don’t really care what they do with Ian Garry. That whole division in my opinion is in a really bad spot, everyone’s so boring with the exception of Kevin holland and mvp. And if Ian Garry is the guy we’re supposed to like because the ufc keeps cramming him down our throats with all the marketing pushes behind him, if they can make him champion I won’t be thrilled. That division will be even less interesting than it is with Leon as champ, and I actually like Leon!

Because the damage is only counted for each round separately. So you can hug your way to win the first two rounds but get your head caved in for the third and you still win because it’s 2-1. Crazy but thats the way it works the winner is who has the most rounds in the bag.
