This looks incredible, my only complaint would be no royal rumble or survivor series main event specials. I think it would be great if each brand could pick 6 superstars each for the rumble then throw like 6 free agents in and the winner of the rumble gets a temporary boost to future show ratings and for survivor series pick your teams to compete against each other and same rewards again. Other than that this looks great, the change class ability is massive!

Can you please let him know that we need at least a 6-man matches in the game. We need that and I love to see a Royal rumble match in my GM mode.

It feels like they’ve truly listened to a lot of what the fans have said over the last couple years obviously the games not gonna be perfect but just the quality of life improvement are so huge to me

Looks like some of the MyGM team needs to work on Universe and maybe some shit would get done

I do think we should get cross-brand PLEs and matches back in the mode, like the Royal Rumble. It's really one of the few things still missing that could make modern day GM mode as enjoyable and fun as it was back then.

Well there isn't much reason for them since everyone gets to book every PLE. Unless you're saying we should go back to branded PLE's with a cross brand one every 3 months like it was back in the SvR days. I honestly prefer it this way.

Like some things they’ve done better than SVR but A LOT of things are missing to take this mode over the top. Sadly, I don’t foresee this mode getting much better than what it is. This is 2k after all, their focus is gonna be on how to get kids on my faction and steal their parents card information

Really hoping they add multi-brand matches like Elimination Chamber, Royal Rumble, and MITB next year. That element of direct competition, rooting for your guys, even watching the match, was great in SDvRaw GM Modes. Also hoping for brand customization, like swapping out the titles that are used and the show name and logo etc. Those are the big 2 needed additions for me. Lots of great improvements this year, otherwise.

Would be a really cool twist to the mode if instead of everyone putting on their own ple's, they had to make the most compelling case to get their matches featured on the ple, so there might be a great match from smackdown, 2 from raw and 1 from ecw, chosen by popularity and rivalry level etc, and in the ple you are competing with the other brands by building a great rivalry for the 4+ weeks leading to the ple, and then the match or matches that are chosen from each brand compete in that ple. You could have ai determine through many variables which match should be the main, opener, etc, on a 5 match card.

There was a little bit of that in the GM Modes in SDvRaw, where depending on who was in the lead, and who won the various cross brand multi-man matches (Elimination Chamber at Survivor Series, the Royal Rumble, and the battles at WM) would determine who got the main event, #30 in the rumble, or got to lock down people from the draft etc. THAT'S the stuff I want to see more of. As someone who's played these modes dating back to SDvRaw '08 with 2 of my friends, we love the direct competitive stuff like that. So hopefully Tyson, the lead designer, sees some of these ideas!

@@gavinjohnson4010 I like the idea that all of the GM characters can book the wrestler version of themselves on the show, except for Teddy who can always make people go one on one with THE UNDERTAKER!

And I'm glad to hear they're starting GM mode early due to realizing GM mode was way more than it first seemed last year.

My 3 biggest issues with the mode are 1) limited match types (No Royal Rumble/Gaunlet etc) 2) Roster sizes and match cards are too small. 3) 25 weeks is ridiculously unrealistic, there needs to be an option for a full year calendar 😊

I wish they'd put their resources together and combine universe mode and my gm. You'd have all your custom stuff, you'd have the draft, you'd have contract management. You'd have the depth and replayiblity that this game seriously lacks.

I want a Stone Cold GM. Where he gets free GM Interference and anyone he interferes against loses as he just comes down to the ring, gives them a stunner and leaves.

Its awesome that you got to sit with the lead designer or at least the figurehead of the lead designer for the GM mode i like that he sounds passionate about making the most of the mode despite not having a big prioty by the overall dev team or by 2K themselves which is a shame these modes are what can carry a game through for a lot of people during content droughts

Teddy Long is to MyGM as Mahatma Gandhi is to Civilization. An absolute horror to piss off lol Also I like the detail of show-unique traits. Waiting for the version of this mode where WCW just lets you see other GMs’ cards or inventory for free lol

Having not played it myself - only watching you guys and maybe one other person's - I'm very excited for the upcoming season. I don't know if it will reach where the old games did although I do think Tyson is genuinely trying and has thought this stuff through. I love that he watches the channel not only because it's a great showcase of how fun it can be with friends but also because you all do have good strategies and ideas to pull from.

I can tell the lead designer actually plays the game he fixed a lot of the things that I had issues with only thing I want is 6 man matches or managers

Talent scouts is a very interesting addition. I almost figured it would work like 2K/Madden where you scout prospects (in this case the jobbers, ideally mystery/indie talent) to find their true talent. Where like if your scout was not a high enough grade you might be led into some busts, and if they are well-regarded you might get more gems than normal. I think it would be cool to have that alongside a trade finder like 2K has had. The current trade system is a nice step right now

Bro I'm so excited for this game, it's got so many things the series has been needing. Only thing I really want is a "Build your own brand" feature for GM mode.

I am almost sure this comment won't be reviewed but damn huge thanks and massive respect to Tyson for his love and passion to what he is doing i can feel how he is tempted for it. Hope he will be doing mygm next year so far it looks brilliant and even more exciting

I think adding more multi man matches, being able to customize a brand for mygm, being able to put someone in both a promo and a match (cause at a certain point it doesnt feel like booking a good show, it feels like putting the same people against each other over and over.), or like, being able to have a multi man match but having a 1v1 rivalry be focused on would be interesting. (Also i like being able to extend contracts whenever, but it doesnt look like you can do so when you draft (or even a bidding war going on) Though honestly thats more than likely for next years edition. For this year, id just be happy to see Nick Aldis get added.

After 3 years this mode looks to be pretty much the best that this version of gm mode can be. Just need a full calender year and wrestling staples like the Rumble in there properly

Looks great, excited by the new additions (esp. the new levelling up & logistic systems). Looking forward to the vids. Hopefully more match types, custom brands & multibrand come in the next few years.

Got to have the ability to book matches with more than 4 people in GM mode next year. That would complete the mode. Just increase the budget in the first draft so players can have larger rosters. And for PLEs like MITB, Elim Chamber, Royal Rumble each brand can pick an equal amount of wrestlers to enter. (the top two brands get an extra participant (in 4 branded games) in the RR, Elim Chamb)

I like that I dont have to assign my champions. people can earn them in matches instead. 2 questions Are authentic nitro and ecw arenas in? Also do trophies or fans determine whether your first place in gm mode?

Might be a long shot but a brand vs brand ppv and an actual royal rumble would be so much fun. Imagine how much fun it would be simulating that! You'd be on the edge of your seat rooting for your show to win! And if you win you'd get some incentives!

I'm fortunate to have experienced that great feeling of someone whose work your admire also enjoys your work too, it's one of the loveliest surprises in the world & the NL gang absolutely deserve it! 30:05 Oh I *love* that. It would be so fun if they just removed the superstar from the GM mode save entirely, but I guess folk do return from casket matches (even if it takes several months!) also reminds me about that Zombie/Vampire season mode I'd been planning...

All seems great. Only things I noticed that could be better is having PLEs in order & having shows like Royal Rumble as a joint PPV

Can’t wait to see if the same four boys play through GM mode or if some new blood comes in to shake things up even further due to not knowing how they’ll do things?

Royal Rumble needs to be a thing for when you do 3 or more brands in a playthrough. Each brand picks a selected amount of superstars and the winner gets the main event of Wrestlemania slot. That slot can give you extra fans than normal or something. Another thing they should add is a brand invasion power up card where you select a superstar from your roster, and they interfere in a match on the other brand. Smackdown vs Raw 2008 had these features in their GM mode.

This is awesome can't wait for the boys to do gm mode again this was a real treat props Jawnny for being seen by the game devs.

Some changes I would love to see for 2K25. 1) WrestleMania be a 7 match card. The biggest show of the year should be the biggest show of the year. 2) Backstage attacks in the promo sections to increase/start rivalries. They could cost 5K and minor stamina but have a greater chance for rivalry 3) A Combo version of a backstage attack with a role change. Make it cost 20K so it's more expensive than a simple role change but more efficient. 4) A Mania match able to go over 5 stars but if it isn't in the Main Event, it can hurt your show so you have to be careful and not just card gimmick every match. 5) The Champs of each show are automatically brought back for the next season with the hold overs being reduced to 1 per place of non title holder. Save your Fix Match cards if you want certain people back.

I like that they added talent scouts and trades, into universe mode hopefully it’s good this year.

I got a question that I paused for. In the past you could pre-chage classes. With every wrestler having assigned two classes to switch around at level 15, is it now removed to have Rey Mysterio for example start as a giant or is it at least possible to change him between a cruiser or specialist? And can you change the level 15 classes?

I skimmed the video at work so I may have missed this. Are you able to do trades within the PLE block, or is it only immediately after a PLE ends?

Lots of great improvements to look forward to! Maybe next year they can: 1) let the ranking be decided by fans gained rather than these “hof trophies” that nobody really cares about, why not just make it where whoever has the most fans at the end wins? 2) make it longer than just 25 weeks. Why cant we get the full year? And with that, bring back the old svr style of gm mode where each brand had their own ppv/ple but the major ppv/ple is a combined show with all the brands involved. 3) finally make a dedicated online server for the mode (with cross platform support!) so I can play with all my friends 😢

It’s sad that the tag team call outs are what I was most excited for 😂 cannot wait for this game. Looks insane!

Every year people complain “where’s this?” “Where’s that” like they expect literally everything possible to be in the game. Which would be horrible btw because if there’s everything then there’s nothing for the future. I personally love the slow progression of adding new stuff each year to keep the games feeling fresh. Don’t be mad if something is missing, just hope for it to be in the next game. That’s what keeps us coming back.

It just sucks that a bunch of NL staples got released, and the newer wrestlers added to this game that the boys would care about is under DLC.

Shame the show entrances/fireworks at the start of the show were removed. I used to enjoy that little thing

No, you can use your scouts to search for them, but the search costs more the higher the level at which you're searching.

I liked everything I saw until I saw talent scouts. I just want the open rotating pool… I always liked seeing whats available. Maybe I wanna do an extra signing for the hell of it. Now it’s blocked by another currency. 😢

Man I hope they add the PLE special matches and brand split matches through an update. This is the THIRD GM mode were getting and they still haven't added the most basic thing like 6 man matches. I want MITB, Royal Rumble, Survivor Series and Elimination Chamber back man.

I wished that My GM had custom/create a brand, and also choosing shows like Velocity, Heat, Superstars, and even FCW etc etc, along with Raw, SmackDown, NXT, WCW, and ECW. And to also be able to change logos and arenas of the shows, like if you want the Raw Is War logo and arena, and WWECW razor blade logo etc etc. And when it comes to My GM I would like to have a bigger legends and alumni roster. Because when you are playing as WCW or ECW you want those names that were there, you don’t want to pick modern names. Tbh I don’t like the lay out of My GM, there is far too much going on. I much preferred the SVR GM Mode layouts.

Biggest takeaway from this is that they’ll actually finish season 3 GIMME A HELL YEAH
