This actually kinda helped me I appreciate the tips this new Gm mode was confusing to me as someone who doesn’t play Gm mode much but I will be playing this year

One thing I really wish they would add was the power 25. Idk why but something about seeing what wrestlers went up or down what random wrestler built momentum and was like top 10 was pretty cool. Played gm mode all the time back in svr 07 and 08.

Thanks for the tips bro, your tips about the show logistics really come into effect in the later seasons. And most importantly is it definitely a marathon, not a sprint 😂

thank you for the tips. I play for fun and have been trying to figure the game out, and it seems I was at least 2 steps behind you on figuring things out, like I got very close to getting it, but I went a completely different direction that made me lose every single time. also I laughed at the ECW part, I've been screwed over so many times by those power cards that I no longer play against it, sometimes it just feels unfair lol

This was a great video for MyGM in 2K24. I've yet to see a video, article, even user post that is as informative and helpful as this video is. MyGM in 2K24 feels a bit more punishing than the past two games, and the very first tip you gave ("It's a marathon, not a sprint") is probably the best tip you can give; 2K22 let you play 15, 25, and 50 week seasons, and 2K23, while it was still designed with the intent of multiple seasons in mind, let you play perfectly fine doing one or two seasons and starting a fresh game, but 2K24 feels very focused on having you play one MyGM for several seasons, which is not how I've usually played MyGM(or GM Mode in the SvR games that went past one in-game year). The scouting mechanic also has had me rather anxious with who I draft, because scouting just feels really weird and unwieldy, but the tips you've mentioned there seem very solid as well. Will probably start a new MyGM playthrough soon, coast by as much as I can early on, and see how well I can do utilizing these tips in late season 1 or even early season 2.

Paul Heyman just kept targeting me the first 4 PLEs so I had to destroy his promotion.. Went after him so hard he was at the bottom for 2 seasons

True lol. I wish 2k19 and 2k24 merged. I miss the simulation style but love this mode. I wish universe from 2k19 and GM mode merged. Also with 3v3 rivalries etc.

That's the way I play it honestly the curve is more important than the stars in the match I'm noticing so if you put on consistent good booked shoes it fine

PLE everytime Only exception is if you have multiple to build up before Wresltmania But if you had multiple you should have used during previous PLE ALWAYS prioritize getting these cards

@Prunk09 a follow up to that.... what if you have a Network Special AND a Special Promotion. Is it more beneficial to use them both same week or back to back weeks?

@@oldudechan7313 Good question and the answer is yes they do both increase different types of thing. Fan retention just managed you to keep yourself from losing more fans, whereas the network special gives you a bunch of fans so they are technically doing two different things. So it's completely fine to play both of them on ples together

Quick dirty tip: if you do want an immortal wrestler, but dont mind waiting for next season, you can wait until the final 5 weeks of a season, hire them for 1 week, and save a contract extender(s) to bump it all the way to the end of the season. Do everything you can to keep their moral satisfied, and you can tag them to keep them for next season. (Be sure to budget for them in the future.) I just did this in season 3 with a max level cody rhodes, and it saved my brand lol.

@Prunk09 It may be only me, but I find I get the short end of the stick when it comes to talent. (Major skill issue on my part, plus I usually only choose two major talents at the start, not four, so I can have big upgrades, but I NEVER get who I want) but that late season trick usually guarantees I get who I want, rather than seeing if the AI steals them. Usually, major talent will have events with the AI, no matter the difficulty, that ends a contract early. I've had it happen to me, too. But you'd be surprised who is a free agent at the end of the year, especially if you hurt their talent scouts throughout the year.

@Prunk09 I will say, it's cheaper to gamble on unproven prospects. And if you're ride or dying on a top performer, you're doing it wrong. I just enjoy the challenge of fewer top wrestlers and working around them to promo major shows, while the little guys either produce bangers or stay jobbers.

Now tell me how not to suck at the rest of the game 😂 haven’t played a wrestling game since Here Comes The Pain and some of the matches are beyond tough while still trying to learn the controls. Can’t get past that fatal 4 way in my faction weekly.

In multi person matches try to work on 1 person, go for pin covers a few times so their team mates come in the ring and become ineligible to interfere, then when you are ready to pin the opponent.

Man I hate the set levels in my GM. Is there anyway to fix it? I'm trying to custom rosters with some legends in the draft but they cost 600-700k no matter what I do because they are automatically set at level 25 and I can't lower it

You could try remaking some of them as caws with changing an attire maybe since I think caws start at level 0

I beat it on extreme but never got my trophy for having arena and everything at 7 tier. Has anyone else had that problem ?

Money shouldn't matter based on brands as it's all about logistics for money

my main issue is i for the life of me can’t seem to rotate bookings so it’s just not the same thing each week, same thing for universe. i can make a good card, but can’t keep things fresh.

Thats the thing... you dont have too The only time a match gets stale is if they are in a lvl 4 rivalry and you book them for 1 extra match. SO in a perfect situation you book 4 matches they get to a lvl 4 rivalry. you get 1 more free match for them. AND THEN the match would get stale after the 5th match. so you have to blow it off at the PLE But especially early your match card will prob be the same for like 4-5 weeks dont worry about that

@@808saturn I understand. Yeah, so you need to start hiring different Superstars you can keep people in the relatively same spots, but you need to rotate people out. For example, if your world champion was a bruiser and they fought a fighter. Whoever the current world champion is, they need a new opposite to face So that's where you would go in and find a new recruit through the talent scouts or even better possibly have traded for someone

What would you say is the ideal roster size and composition?😊

Try to end with 6 women and 6 men if possible. You can do 4 men since they have the mid card belt and ignore tag team on men for a few weeks till you build your roster Composition doesn't really matter as long as they are male face bruiser vs m heel fighter (or reverse) Basically the tip about keeping your ppl the same type

I beat extreme mode with Stephanie/SmackDown and Long had ECW, X had Raw, Sonya had WCW. Took me 4 seasons. Focused on money/HOF trophies

thats actually easy, save your match stipulation power cards. The ones that give bonuses for tables, tlc ect... If you have a 4 star rivalry and one of those your guaranteed to have a 5star match

NXt 2.0 or smackdown 2.0 in later seasons because of how expensive the stars become showing you draft less and still end up with more. But it's trickier to use Smackdown is a very easy to use and good power card. Ecw can set you up for a very early lead but I don't like they don't have woken title m this is balanced by the mens titles gaining more pop but i don't think that is really super necessary

Last game I would use nxt can’t remember if it was 2.0 or normal but it had the card I would use at wrestlemania and stack it with other cards that would guarantee me the win. I’m playing against competitive friends so I want the best option

@@JK-no7nb that's for sure a good play NXt black and gold gives you the champions bonus. I use it early to boost an early lead. The reason I recommend that is because there are shakeups that steal power cards and by week 25 you probably have match bonus power cards to put on a 5star match in every slot anyway

I know i've stolen a characters power card in 2k23 but not sure if you can in this game. i think i read that they cant be stolen but im not sure if im just making that up atm

I assume you mean on a character? Not really other than if they lose too often they will say things like "I want ot win my next match" Which means you have to put them against an enhancement talent or use a fix match card to avoid morale penalty

Games are games. if your having fun thats whats important The individual superstars arent the point of MYGM mode. your taking the role of a manager and looking at the whole picture. GM mode is like your spinning a dozen plates at once trying to make sure they each dont fall. The whole game is about balancing a budget, managing your roster, making sure they are happy while competing with up to 4 brands for the most fans. If that doesnt sound fun to you i understand its definitely not a mode for everyone. But if you watched the video then i assume you have some kind of interest and i'll leave the judgment to if you find it fun or not to you

@@Prunk09 Where do I start lol First it was ECW vs Raw vs Smackdown the first time they did 3 brand gm mode the 2nd thing was you could trade superstars anytime and actually have them interfere in other shows to boost there Popularity my 3rd Reason was you could actually fight other shows in Big Ppv like summersalm Survivor series Royal Rumble elimination chamber Money in the Bank when it was featured as a WrestleMania card match. Just overall really good not sure if 2k ever did something like that they just added trading lol 😆😅
