I so enjoy your videos...so straight forward and honest! Thank you!! I'm not in the market for a simulator but AM looking for a 'low-cost' (under $500) launch monitor. Do you have any experience or recommendations for such a launch monitor? Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide!

I appreciate the support! I don't do a lot with launch monitors other than the big guys I need for my fitting studio. I might suggest you look at Let's Play Thru KZread channel. Gabe is a good guy and I know he has done a good deal of content on launch monitors. I'd send him a message and get his take.

Love your videos. I got into club building after seeing your channel. Question for you; when using air to regrip irons. I have run into "twist" on the bottom of the grip. What do you do fix that? Using regular single sided tape. Should i build the tape up a little more? Whats the cause?

I have that happen also. I think it must be something with how the air travels along the grip combined with how I hold the grip during install. Usually just need to go back at the end with one more blast of air to tweak it into position.

I looks like a real nice projector. Thanks for the info on how and why you chose that one. Why did you choose a GCQuad over a Trackman launch monitor? Cheers.

Indoor it's really a no brainer. Trackman is great but really needs a fair amount of distance in front of the impact zone to capture the data. GC4 is just as accurate and has no restrictions for distance so it's just better in an indoor setup like mine.

So what you're saying is to not be too concerned with the throw distance etc being exactly correct? I have a 10 ft wide screen (8 ft high) and it looks like I'll have to mount the BenQ about 11-12 ft from the screen; when the throw ratio is 0.9 for the LK936ST, which means about 9 ft from the screen. Any guidance would be appreciated.

They have a fair amount of wiggle room so you don't need to be too exact is what I found.

OK so I use my projectors in a different setup.. I use them for computer monitors.. not really presentation but for writing code and doing computer stuff.. I monitor a lot of things remotely as a telecom / network engineer.. is the text on it crisp and do the colors wash out at high brightness? I have a optoma GT1090HDR (1080p) laser unit and its beautiful as far as brightness and colors but well the resolution is a bit low when I make the screen 150" diagonal... I boight am optoma 4K400STx true 4K unit (lamp projector) and at the bright settings all the colors wash out.. reds turn to pink.. yellows look more green, blues turn to purples... and the only way to get the color back is to use the dimmer modes.. im a well-lit room kinda guy when im working so that doesnt fly.. how does the BenQ do? I also use a projector for my Holiday light shows so BRIGHT is the name of the game... in the bright modes is thing really bright? when using the image shift is it still easy to get a Focus that maintains well across the whole screen? at this point im getting tired of wasting time testing units and trying to save $$ I just need to get a unit that works.. you are right there arent many choices for really bright 4K short throw projectors on the market.. my room isnt very big so short throw is a must..

It's as bright as I have seen and the clarity I think is really good projected onto a 14x9ft screen. It is an impact screen so the resolution will never look as good as it would on an actual flat wall or projector screen but still really good.
