I just hope the final episode has Alan, Sandi and Stephen at least.

The Canadian PM was William Lyon Mackenzie King. ("Rex" to his friends.) Presumably, he wanted to be the only King in the photo.

Hannah did all the talking but one Noel Fielding comment is all it took for him to be the thumbnail. Based.

That's not based. No one's counting how much which panelist talked. He's just the more familiar face. Also, Gabbie Hannah is a youtuber. This is Hannah Gadsby. You know, you don't always have to express what you're thinking. It's often not worth it.

Lincoln was unusually tall for the time he was living in. How did the photographer solve that problem in the photo.

The same thing was done with Walt Disney. He was a heavy smoker and in a lot of the photos of him the cigarette was removed from his fingers.

Alan didn't say that Lincoln was wearing the pants in the picture so why did he get a klaxon?

It probably is. They travelled by rail in their Royal visit in 1939, and the Banff Springs was a CP Rail Hotel. Banff is one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Was the Flag Code in operation at the time? Lots of American things turn out to be much more recent than people realise. The money only had "In God We Trust" placed on it in the '50s and it was really about sticking two fingers up at those atheist "pinko commies". The Pledge of Allegiance had "one nation under God" inserted into it in the '50s too - again, it was really anti-communism propaganda from "the red scare". America was founded as a secular nation - the first one to have it in its Constitution, with the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment - and this modern religious revival stuff really isn't the nation's history at all. Even if, seemingly, most Americans don't even realise this. (p.s. yup, looking it up, the modern American Flag Code only dates to 1923. So well after Lincoln went to the theatre. "He gave power to the have nots... and then came the shot!")

It was common at that time. Military photos from the civil war period show the National and Regimental flags draped over drums and onto the ground.

@@JayM409yes. There was no flag code back then. When a politician in the late 1800s died, they draped his casket with the flag. People at the time were outraged at using the flag in that manner. However, this became the norm during World War I and is still the norm today.
