10:32. 1000% Agree Joe. Dodge checked off Every Single Box when they Engineered & Built the Durango Hellcat. They should build these Forever!

Joe, nothing, literally nothing can replace that strong, seamless V8!!!

Enjoyed the deep dive. At 32k on my 2021 DDHC now and I feel like you really captured the appeal which is the attitude. It never fails to put a smile on your face and with nothing done/under warranty it’s an absolute performance bargain. Sure you can mod something cheaper to compete or even beat this but it’s a pulley and tune away from 10s. If you’re someone who really wants to push the platform the modded record is current 8.4 @ 165mph in the 1/4.

Joe Knows where the Police hang and they know to leave him alone when Joe takes those rides and Bangs!

The water bottle…really seemed to love Launch Control…couldn’t get upright until 4th shift. Raw power is the BEST.

Joe was on throttle for something like 19s and I see a 0-130 time of 16s for this vehicle while 0-150 is 23.9s. Joe was definitely up to speed! 😂

Great video, Joe, wow, what a glorious beast! I was close to pulling the trigger on a Durango SRT Hellcat but changed direction a bit to something more sedate, a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve with the 5.7 Hemi. Admittedly, nowhere near the same level of performance, but it is a very nice driving SUV. Thanks for another in depth review, Joe, the best one I've seen yet!

Joe someone needs to clearance the passenger side exhaust pipe, that’s what the grinding noise was on the hard launches. There is a small chassis brace that it’s hitting on the hard launches.

Yeah I noticed that as well… mine never did it but I know of 2 people who had to get theirs adjusted right from the factory.

2:51 I love my DDHC, but performance numbers from Dodge are a little off. Best I could do is a 3.7 0-60…not the Advertised 3.4. Now that you’ve had a few launches, what was your best 0-60?

Love the deep dive on the drive. The first couple of gears seemed bumpy on the launch control. Did you feel it as much as we saw it?

The best, as always Joe, the best. My factory order DesTroyer Grey hellcat Dingo is on the first railcar on the way to me in Calgary. Trading my wife’s Durango RT and my 23 Durango SRT for it. I NEED it now! lol. So wish they were not doing a 2025! Another false last of these like in 2021, 2023,2024, and now 2025. They just lose all their credibility. Later Joe Troy

To add a bit more context it’s nice and smooth in the softer suspension modes and gets firmer as you change the suspension setting. It’s completely firm in track mode and can be bumpy but in Auto/Street mode it’s very smooth.

As Leon said they only come with a red key. He likely didn’t have enough RPM but I don’t know what he had LC set to. 1700-1800 is best on mine (3psi of boost) but with more traction I’ve heard 2200rpm is the most potent launch rpm (holds 6psi).
