Yo, that T shank hand saw set up is awesome! You should make a video on that alone 👌😎
first time I see “edc” tools that look like they’ve been actually used lol

I know, right? So many tool and edc vids I see where the gadget is unboxed, placed in a maxpedition pouch and probably just sit on a desk.

I agree! This guys kit is top notch! I just made my first video and it's a little lengthy but worth a watch if you're a hands on guy and an EDC junkie like me! Would love some honest feedback though!
Dude nice hand craftsmanship. Wish I had machining skills
This is why I like to keep watching EDC videos. Even though I've seen a ton, I like seeing new ideas. The printed sleeves are a nice touch, and I like that saw blade holder rather than trying to cut notches in a vice grip to get it to hold a blade

Sick setup, thanks for sharing
Very nice, well thought out and detailed.
What a clever idea!
Be sure to video making the next one. 👍
The knipex can close to a smaller size if you set it a notch or two from the top
Very extensive and thought out EDC! Awesome. Great video. Thank you for sharing!
This is brilliant

Very concise and well put together kit. I am impressed! Nice job I’d suggest getting an Amazon associates account and putting the links for the items here
This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Someone please sell me this as a kit
Thanks for sharing your edc setup! This is a great start and introduction to your channel. If you have a camera that auto-focuses, when you show your tools, put your hand closer to the camera so it can refocus. At your current focusing depth, I can see all the details in your table consistently, but your hands the tools appear blurry.

I appreciate the tips, thanks! I'm only using my phone camera which is a Samsung Flip3, so it does have autofocus. In my next video, I'll monitor the focus a little better so that the focus depth is correct.
Very well thought out and comprehensive EDC. A bit more than I would carry but of course that means I don't have the capability you have with this EDC. I too, like you and many others in the EDC ''community'' have been gravitating away from one and done multitools, to carrying separate quality items. In my case it was buying the Knipex Cobra XS pliers, slightly smaller than your 125mm/5 inch Cobra, which got me going down that path. As a bare bones minimum EDC I carry that with a Spyderco Urban, and a Geekey (for the Phillips driver), which is equivalent to a Leatherman Skeletool - which I wouldn't be able to EDC as here in the UK we can't EDC locking blades. From there I have added smaller SAKs with scissors (74mm Ambassador or Moneyclip), separate bit drivers or bike multitools with Hex, Allen and flat/Phillips drivers, and various combinations of those.
Brilliant
Nice setup 👍🏾 A DIY video of how you made that t shank hand saw would be cool

Thanks! That's a good idea. I wish I recored when I was making it (I don't have any footage of the process), so it would have to be just a video of me describing how I made it. Still might end up being a good video though. Thanks for the suggestion!

@EDCPocketTools even if you made another one as a gift to someone or to sell. Really and truly, I think people would buy these. $$$ You could just use aluminum tubing or stock and do the knurling on a lathe to reduce the production cost. Just tossing ideas around, I'm no Mark Cuben.
Very nice! You could probably use that ratchet with drill bits too! Might be useful to add.
And I thought my EDC pouch was big. The 3D printed parts are very slick, especially for the altoid tin. I’ll have to setup my printer and finally start making things. Fun video!
Great EDC kit. Thanks for the listing and the sites for the tools used in your kit. The one item I was unable to find was your "cat claw" hammer. Can you provide information on it as well please.
@edcpockettools
Жыл бұрын
Thanks! The CatClaw is my own product that I am going to be releasing very soon! It is a pocket-sized prybar and hammer. More info about it on my website: edcpockettools.com/catclaw/ I have the first batch ready, I just need to do a few things before I make them available. Sometime this upcoming week for sure they will be available.
i have something similar i made too! i have a basic one that i have my cobras, needle nose, awl and pocket screwdriver for hotel maint that i put in my cargo pocket uniform but i may need to step up my game lol
Nice compact tool box. With that much weight, though, wouldn't it be preferable to split it in two to distribute weight and bulk to both pockets? And noticed no knife of scissors as well, but you could always carry one of those on a beltsheath
@edcpockettools
Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I thought about splitting it into two, but I like to keep only my phone in my left pocket, with my pocket knife and flashlight clipped to the same pocket. When I'm going places, I usually carry the pocket organizer in my backpack. I mostly carry it in my right front pocket when I'm at work because I wear suspenders so the weight doesn't really matter.

Most impressed with that diy case! Stitches look good. Do you have a sewing machine? Is it real leather? If so do you mind telling me where you got it? Also love that small tape measure in the Altoids. Do you remember where you bought it?
@edcpockettools

Thanks! Yes, it's veg tanned leather, bought in 12x12" sheets from Amazon. All hand saddle stitched. The tape measure was from AliExpress.
Hey man I really loved this isn't my first comment but it's the one I want you to read. THIS is edc! And you inspired me to make my first edc video. I'm not nearly as good at making videos as you are, and I'm not a leatherworker. But I put a lot of thought into my edc, and I would love it if you checked it out and gave me some 100% HONEST feedback. Thanks if so, and I still give you my best wishes either way. -Jared

Thanks man! Just watched your EDC video, looks well thought-out. The only critique I have is to possibly record in landscape instead of portrait next time, but then again, portrait is better for mobile.
