What's inside a tackle box. Tackle box walk through and mystery tackle box items

What's inside a tackle box. Tackle box walk through and mystery tackle box items. This video will show you what's in a tackle box and how to maximise the space you could have available to carry what you need and not carry your entire tackle, how things can be stored for less fumbling and more fishing. See what's in my tackle box and how I store them for quick and easy access.
Some mystery tackle box items will be shown in the video, what are they and what are they used for?
So what's inside a tackle box? Some things that you may not of thought about carrying before but can be a real help or even a lifesaver. Most of the video is dedicated to show how you needn't take as much stuff as we all have done at some time, why take a whole box of fishing leads when half-a-dozen should do.
Hassle free fishing allows for 'more' concentration and time on the actual fishing. See what's in my tackle box and maybe you could get your tackle box more organised for swift efficiency. This tackle box walk through has some hints and tips of how I store certain things such as Duct tape, Thermos flask, and some handy essentials that could save a life.
Shore fishing for me is a passion but unfortunately my health isn't in the best condition and so travelling as light as possible is a must for me. Over time I have whittled away and tried different ways of storing the necessary 'and' some comfort things such as fishing waterproof bottoms and a flask of coffee. A brief mention (because other videos show in more detail) of some other tackle items or fishing tackle modifications.
Sea fishing or beach fishing can be a dangerous sport and so the more you know about safety the better, if in doubt, don't do it. Some fishing tackle items such as a VHF marine radio, a first aid kit or even a red flashing light to signal danger is not essential but it is sensible and for me, it is essential.
If you see anything you like then please consider a clicking the "thumbs up" button under the video, it shows that you would like to see more and boy do I have some never before seen tips & tricks to share as we go.
Thank you for taking the time to watch my video and I hope the question of "what's inside a tackle box and what's in my tackle box" was helpful and I hope you enjoyed the video?

Nicely done, Rob! Now you see why women's purses are so important to us ladies. We're able to pack away an entire household in a small bag just in case we "need" something when we're away from home. 🤣😂. Seriously though, very creative.

That's it Peter, like the boy scouts, always be prepared lol. The face net for me is something that will rarely be used but when it is used you're so pleased for having it with you especially if you have travelled miles to a venue, Midges are relentless pests that can cause huge frustration.

Some great idea’s here thanks ! I will try the electrical conduit trick. I’d recommend keeping a small pot of graphite powder apply it to the male end of the rod sections to stop them getting stuck.

Thanks. I ground up some lead from a pencil and tried that, it works well but you do need to reapply it regularly. Thanks for the tip.

I'm not a fisherman but I have an old trailer tent that I camp in , which needs maintenance often I have a small toolbox on board but was looking at getting a different box to fit on the draw bar your box with the added pad and straps with your waterproofs are a great idea for our great British weather

I used this method for carrying waterproofs up until a couple weeks ago when I found some very lightweight waterproofs that fold to nothing.

Great vid Rob a have the same type of box and have done some of the mods you've done. I find I have to keep the weight in the bottom as it tends to tip over alot.

Apologies for the late reply, not sure how I missed this. Yes putting your lead weights in the bottom does help with the tipping over but since I have hinged the lids it doesn't fall so much now. Thank you for watching and commenting.

Some great ideas that will be an inspiration for many...I have often thought the inside of tackle boxes should be white, or at least light coloured, to allow things to be found easily....I am not sure if painting the inside white would work, or whether lining it with white sticky backed plastic (shades of Blue Peter!😀) would be better? When I used to night fish the incoming tides here on the flat beaches in North Wales, I would end up ferrying thing back and to up the beach in the dark...it was surprising how easy it was to "loose" site of things so I either glued reflective tape or attached little LED flashers to keep track of things..

Rob, great video my friend. Like I always say, it's better to have something and not need it, then need it and not have it! That little Bofang radio is a good idea also my friend, you never know when you could get yourself or someone else out of trouble with that little radio! 👍😊

Hi, I use the radio for entertainment but knowing that it could be useful in an emergency situation is a big bonus. The Baofeng radio is fairly cheap to buy but I would recommend upgrading the antenna from the outset. Thank you again for taking the time to watch and comment. Best wishes!

Hi Rob, how do you fix your line spools to the under box? I do it with velcro. Is it a good idea or you get a better one?

  • @landlockedseafishing

    @landlockedseafishing

Great idea using velcro but I like the bolt and thumb screw as you can pull line off because the spool spins. Good simple idea though.

Hi Dave, the radio is a Baofeng programmed to receive marine and other stations. The antenna does work really well, I think if you search tactical Baofeng antenna you should find it although be aware they do come in different lengths, mine is the longer version. Thank you for watching and commenting, much appreciated.
