Great discussion and I agreed with everything you both talked about. The Shining is the only Stephen King book that I've read twice. Approximately 20 years between readings. As with any book or movie you notice your perspective changes. Remembering some things and forgetting other things, then having "Oh that's right" moments. As Donna talked about Tony, I remember I really wanted to know why the name Tony? When it's finally explained, I thought well that makes sense.
