Trust me YT Shorts compression wouldn't do it any justice. They sound good but I might add subwoofer later on

I want to buy these but I didnt understand if I need to buy a preamp too. Can you help me? (want to connect it to a turntable with no preamp built in)

I do not use any preamp but it also depends on what device you want to used them with

If you get the R-41PM you do not need a preamp as the unit is active, meaning they have their own amplifier. However if you get the R-41M, you will need a preamp as the unit is passive. Hope this helps!

Are these speakers passive or active because I did research on these speakers and it says that there passive

You have both versions, the passive will be called R41M (or 51 depending on the model), and active will be called R41PM.

Would adding a receiver be overkill?
