Why do you need fluoride-free toothpaste? Can someone fill me in? I thought fluoride was good to keep your teeth free of plaque and dentists use them during your regular cleaning.

ULiRD you need fluoride in your toothpaste in order for the ions to incorporate in the enamel and make the structure more resistant, it's an essential ingredient so i'm not really sure why she said that. it's a real shame she's passing that on to a lot of the people that see the video and without knowing, because of her, will get rid of something they need...

***** water is not supposed to contain fluoride. Fluoride is not supposed to be ingested, it is supposed to have a topical effect just like much other ingredients. One needs to have knowledge to say these types of things, especially someone with this amount of followers, there's a reason for doctors, dentists, whatever to have years of studying and that is the difference between someone hearing or seeing something on the internet and someone with critical knowledge.

***** Water fluoridation is definitely a topic that has gone under much criticism, but that should not mean that fluoride is bad for people. Fluoridation of water is usually an attempt to reduce a population's chances of cavities and tooth loss as a result. Usually fluoride in water is in trace amounts (4ppm) so that its toxic effects can be avoided. Fluoride can actually help remineralize our teeth and reduce chances of getting cavities. So, fluoridated water may be avoided due to concerns about health if ingested, but it doesn't necessarily need to be avoided as its topical application is quite advantageous.

PEOPLE YOU NEED FLUORIDE IN YOUR TOOTHPASTE! Unless you ate toothpaste as a kid and have mottled teeth (fluorosis) which makes your teeth even more resistant to decay anyway. Fluoride integrates into your enamel to protect your teeth from decay! You also need fluoride in your drinking water! There are no harmful cons to excess fluoride. Michelle, the way you talked about Closys made it sound like you were promoting fluoride-free culture. As a big time KZreadr, you should consider the things you say as it affects many young viewers. :)

every1luvseve You should know better. Fluoride does not protect your teeth from decay according to the largest study ever done. Fluoride is extremely toxic. It was used as a rat poison and pesticide. Since fluoride is in much of the drinking water, too much fluoride causes your teeth to crumble and decay. It also enhances the brains absorption of aluminium, which leads to Alzheimer's. It also weakens bones, leading to fractures. Fluoride damages the skeletal and nervous system. You can still prevent tooth decay by brushing your teeth with toothpaste that is fluoride free. There's no study that tooth enamel degrades between fluoride and fluoride free toothpaste.

I am pretty sure I know what I am talking about especially having taken university level nutrition, chemistry, biology, and physiology courses with world renown professors. Any dentist and physician can tell you how important fluoride is for your teeth. They don't go through years of school for no reason. Be careful of what you see on the internet.

every1luvseve A psychology major will tell you nothing. I went to school for 8 years for dentistry, and I always recommend fluoride free toothpaste for my patients. I've seen no difference in people who use fluoride vs fluoride free, except people who use fluoride tend to get sicker. Fluoride is a toxin.

This way of packing is really not practical.

Where exactly did she not blend enough with the air cushion? I don't see any unblended spots. And I don't think "amateurish" is the right word, it means lacking experience, which she has a lot of.
