Thanks for making the video. I have used a ton of fieldpiece meters. I actually own 4 of them. They used to be the only meter I ever bought. The reason I switched was because I started noticing ghost amperage when I'd try to check amperage draw on units. Talked to a buddy who uses the fluke 902 and he had no idea what I was talking about until we were troubleshooting a unit and it kept saying it was drawing amperage on the heat stripes even though we couldn't feel heat and it was off. Come to find out we tested all 4 of mine and my buddies spare fieldpiece and they all showed amperage draw even with the 240 killed. I now keep them as a spare incase my Fluke dies while I'm on a job. The 902 is just rock solid and has never given me a false voltage.

You are talking about two different things: voltage and amperage. So..... I’ve never had a false amperage reading on a FieldPiece. Seems odd. Usually if anything goes bad it’s the switch. But my current two meters have lasted 3 years. I have a fluke as a backup.

Very interesting video! Only thing I am not keen on is your impact driver as it's quite bulky...I love the Bosch Professional 12v Impact with the small battery...it makes for a very compact but powerful impact...

What is your thoughts on Fluke multimeter?

I don’t like them because they don’t easily fit in my bag. I also don’t work with 3 phase that much. But they are nice meters. I own one and use it to trouble shoot DC communicating systems mainly.
