So cute! When they are in the car seat they won’t allow a jacket or snowsuit on usually (safety issue) so I’d pack another warm cozy blanket!! Best of luck! Can’t wait to see him

Good point! Coats are very dangerous for babies to be wearing under car seat straps & many hospitals won't let you go home until they know the car seat is good to go.

Old Navy is the best place for simple, basic baby sleepers. They have zippers and are super comfy for a newborn. My baby wears them as his uniform and I wouldn't have it any other way. They come in baby blue, heather grey , white and navy. Stock up. Buttons are so inconvenient for first time parents especially. You want to be changing diapers quick and easy also you don't want to go over babies head in the middle of the night. Zip front one piece for baby is what to search. Trust me!!!

For safety measures you shouldn’t put any jackets or anything on babies when they are in the car seat. Jackets prevent the car seat to fully work and secure your child. Super cute outfits!

Since you live in a cold climate also, we use a Cozy Cover! It’s wonderful to keep wind, snow etc off the baby and keeps them super warm!

Love everything! I know that my son was stuck unexpectedly in the NICU for 5 days and even the 2 days I was in the hospital he went through a few outfits. Between the first poops and spit ups it may help to bring a couple more sleepers or onesies!

The hospital I delivered in only had gowns for the babies and it isn’t anything you want on them. I would bring him multiple outfits. You don’t know how many days you will be there or if he will have any accidents.

Stephanie Sprinkle I commented the same. My four kids they only had shirts. More onsies needed cause babies can pee or poo on it. Plus you’re right never know how long you’ll be.

I was about to say , only one onesie is not enough ! What if he burps on it or have a big poo? What if you are there for more than one day ? Also , i think he needs a long sleeved bodysuit under his going home outfit , because the contact of the wool with his baby skin may be a little harsh

Everything is super cute! Bring what makes you happy and comfortable. You will hear lots of different opinions from everyone. Honestly, you just need the outfit to bring him home in and a blanket to cover him in the car. The less stuff you have, the better. There is really no need for anything else. I remember when I brought my son home 10 years ago, the outfit I picked for him was huge! We still laugh when we see the photos.

Make sure that you buy the waterproof cover for the boppy to go under the cover. Milk will get on it and it’s nice to just have to wash the covers and not the boppy 😊

Hi Alex and Michael! What an exciting time in your lives😀. I have a 5 month old baby boy and he has been the most incredible thing to ever happen in my life💙. I have a couple helpful tips for you about what you’ve packed for baby boy in hospital bag... you won’t need a bib in hospital or for breastfeeding in general. Also, although the baby gap snow suit is absolutely adorable, you’re not supposed to put babies in them while they’re in the car seat as it prevents the straps from being tight enough and compromises the car seat safety as it changes the way the baby fits into the car seat. Just have his cute little coat on with a cozy blanket and the heat on in car😀. Take care and can’t wait to see him in future videos!

I would bring a couple more sleepers too. My hospital only provided the white long sleeve onesies. And sleepers with zippers will save your life when your a new mama in those first days in the hospital

Love SwaddleMe swaddles for when mine was smaller. Also, I would pack a zipper sleeper. Those are so much better than snaps. I wish I would have returned all of the snap sleepers. Good luck! Can't wait to see the cute baby!

For sure take a cute muslin swaddle blanket. For when your baby is just in the hospital shirt or onesie but the swaddle makes pics so much cuter! Babies basically stay swaddles in the hospital blanket/hat the whole stay unless you bring your own cute version!!! And leave all your valuables at home.

I brought several swaddle blankets for my first and just left her nakey in just a diaper the whole time so we could have lots of skin to skin while breast feeding !! I think a fun video idea would be to tell us all the things you packed and didn’t use 😂. I’ve had two babies and both times I didn’t even open my bag until we were leaving so just had to get dressed and put clothes on the baby. The hospital gives you all the necessities for both mom and baby and giving birth is literally like going to war. Afterwards you barely want to move. So super sore. Interested to see how it is for you. Good luck! You can do it!

I used everything in my baby’s hospital bag (and I packed at least 4 outfits)I had a c section and I was there for 5 days and my husband even had to go home to pick up more things for him. However, I didn’t used really anything in MY bag. I just wore the hospital gown they gave me.

Yes to the bobby! It was amazing with learning how to breastfeed, or even when you’re so tired and wanting to still hold your baby. Also, if it gives you any piece of mind, my little guy took a binky for the first time in the hospital and continued to use it. He had zero issues breastfeeding! The bink was mine and my husbands saving grace when he needed calmed, especially as nervous first time parents out in public 🙂

It’s a fun experience getting all the advice! I hope most helps you in your new adventure to parenthood. Your bag looks well thought out. I know at our hospital I didn’t open our bag till we were ready to leave. If you don’t want to use pacifiers don’t all three of mine were fine without they don’t know what they are missing if they don’t start.

I would take a few extra pairs of mittens. They are so tiny and my son kept pulling them off. It was nice very to have several pairs. Also socks. My hospital had onesies but no socks and it was cold! I also brought several blankets of my own and before we left the hospital my husband brought one home for our dogs to smell! So excited for you!

I'm a car seat tech and I HIGHLY recommend looking into car seat safety before you have your little boy, coats and snow suits aren't safe for car seats and the groups really help with learning how to strap the baby in properly!

Too funny! I bought the same outfit for my baby’s going home outfit! I was so bummed that Zara didn’t make a hat to match so I ended up buying a matching yarn to make one. I’ll have to look into that cute poof ball hat though!!

You're right, you won't need a lot. I would recommend little nail clippers because sometimes they come out with sharp little talons! It isn't recommended to put a snowsuit on babies in a car seat so you may want to leave that home and bring a cozy blanket/carseat cover instead. Looks like you're all ready though! Yes I was told our hospital won’t trim baby’s nails because it’s a liability so bring your own baby nail trimmers! 2 weeks to go! Hope your hangin in there
