@@hohenburg5497 Considering the close nature of the battle of Stalingrad(the battle Stroheim died) It would not take much for a Nazi victory, even with Germany's oil problem. Stroheim could have won the battle, that is, unless multiple Russian snipers saw the guns blazing, Germany praising, hair razing cyborg, and decided to coordinate shots to take him down. Other then that, the only other option would be another super-human.

5:45 araki confirmed in an interview that Joseph actually had Hermit Purple in part 2, but he wasn’t aware of it’s existence yet and was using it subconsciously to read other opponent’s lines, creating the famous “Next you’ll say!”. It only manifested itself physically when dio awakened from his slumber, causing the rest of the Joestar lineage to obtain stands from a distress call caused from Jonathan’s body because, spoilers, Dio stole Jonathan’s body

This doesn't make sense as Joseph would only gain his stand after Dio emerged form the ocean as used the stand arrow. Araki meant that if the stand users went back in time and saw part 2 Joseph they'd see his ripple in a similar way to his stand. The rest of the jostars got stands due to stands being Dio using Jonathon's body to gain a stand as stands are passed onto blood relatives

It's sad that the CGI from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, which was make in 2012 is two times better than the CGI from series like Berserk 2016, Knights of Sidonia, and Ajin (all three were made in 2016).

To me, the second intro of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure contains one of the best character defining moments in an OP in anime history. That single moment of Joseph punching his own hand and cockily swaggering towards the camera, obviously raring for battle perfectly defined Joseph Joestar for me. He's not the upstanding gentleman like Johnathan was, and he's a cocky young bastard who is looking for a fight, knowing damn well he's looking for trouble. He did not disappoint, and when push came to shove, he stayed cunning and impressive through ALL of his appearances.

I'm surprised you didn't mention anything about the shot of Jonathan's eyes at 4:32. If you look you'll notice that just for a frame or two the burning fire turns into the dark ambition that Johnny (Jonathan's SBR counterpart) displays in part 7 whenever he is resolved to kill someone.

I'm fairly sure that the stars that supposedly represent an American JoJo actually represents the birthmark of the Joestar family, which is a star. Besides, even though Joseph lives in America, he's still British. Other than that I thought this was a splendid analysis, and I can't wait for the next part.

pokefreakbror Technically Joseph is still British at this point. He just immigrated to America at the behest of his Grandfather's #1 fanboy Speedwagon. He did became an American citizen and lived his life around the world based on his own wealth (supposedly he made wise investment in real estate) and the Speedwagon Foundation, which becomes the base for combating all sorts of supernatural weirdness.

@@edwinstruik2664 I like it. The only part that I think is definitely worse about the dub is DIO not being quite as exciting. However, otherwise, it is quite enjoyable. I did it because I was watching on a plane and didn't trust myself to read subtitles while sleep deprived

JJBA openings are just so good, from the music to the art to the subtle references, I almost could never bring myself to skip them because unlike every other goddamn anime, they don't contain obvious spoilers, and they keep adding gimmicky things that I have to keep an eye on, I just love whoever does them!

Im happy i watched a guy talk about jojo ops for 10 minutes straight

3:05 Actually the models used in the OP are by Kamikaze Douga (who did the entire OP). They're wholly separate from the ones made by Namco Bandai. It's particularly noticeable in the way the eyes look. Also, Joseph is British, not American, and that's Straizzo in the intro, not Lisa Lisa. He just happens to look really girly.

At one point the fire in Johnathan's eyes turns black... a reference to Johnny's "Dark will"?

You were wrong about a few points. Like the frame in the battle tendency OP with Erina, Speedwagon, and "Lisa Lisa" with the baby, that wasn't Lisa Lisa with Joseph. It was Straizo with Lisa Lisa, and at that time Erina was pregnant with George II.

I love how when you say kick ass songs you play unravel. That’s great right there

I keep coming back to this series of yours. The clean vo, sharp edits, direct scripting, and conveys the passion that dares you to want to enjoy it THIS much and thoroughly.

The best thing about the ops are that they never get boring I watch tokyo ghoul and I just skip the op but when I was watching jojo I couldnt skip that op and in my free time I listen to them

You don't really watch this show to find out *what* happens. You watch it (pretty much knowing the big points) to find out how and why it happens, and to experience a really fun and epic journey to get there.

Spoilers don't ruin the show if the tension of the show creates the better atmosphere.

Kamikaze Douga made all four of these OPs. While they certainly worked with David Production on them, they've made it clear in interviews that the design and planning are handled on their end and approved by David. Additionally they created their own models, not reused assets from the game.

***** I did not know that! The models looked very similar to ASB so I made an assumption, but they're working from the same source so that makes sense. more corrections for the second video.

The analysis here is honestly just off the charts.🙌🏽🙌🏽 I have a new found appreciation for anime openings and anime itself especially the work put behind all of this.

Pillar men pose is the most menacing out of any enemy in jojo history.

If you look at Jonathan's eyes as he climbs up the stairs, you can see them briefly fire up and turn black. This could be a foreshadowing to the dark will Johnny Joestar has in Part 7.
