What's Hidden on the Forbidden North Sentinel Island?

In this video, you'll learn what's hidden on a closed island in the Indian ocean. I'm going to show you how dangerous other people's secrets can be, and what sacrifices curiosity leads to. You may even get to know one of the most mysterious tribes on the planet - and it's better to do so virtually. Why? You'll see for yourself.

    With the isolated Islanders’ use of spears, bows and arrows - just like other native people, it’s really amazing to realize how humans after tens of thousands of years have managed to pass on the craftmanship and use of “common” primitive weapons! Not to mention how to build a canoe! Wow!!

  • @thewr0ngchild

    @thewr0ngchild

    Those things are passed down via oral history to the next generation, and the next, and the next, so on. Bow and arrow, spear and boat building go back to the first humans. Spear fishing is an ancient form of fishing that dates back centuries. They have to be pretty good boat builders too to have reached the Anderman Islands from Africa. They would have made some of the journey over land, but to reach the island, they would have needed to know how to sail and navigate the ocean. It's such a fascinating subject, they must have just decided to strike out for a new home. I wonder what made them decide to undertake such a treacherous journey?. I really hope we don't see a repeat of people trying to go to the island, because it's such a huge risk for these people. I couldn't care less if the Sentinelese kill them, they're defending their 60,000 year old home, and their traditions and lives. One germy tourist could wipe them out.

    FYI from google earth you can indeed make out some stuff on the island, though it is a little underwhelming. On the very top north-western corner on the coast there is the wreck of the MV primrose. There are two clearings on the Eastern side of the island, One near the top (north) and one slightly further inland from the eastern coast at about the mid point of the island. Both clearings seem to have buildings and paths. On the south western corner there is a small hut just outside the treeline on the coast (maybe a fishing hut?)

You turn around you say that it's good that there are places I haven't been raped and pillaged by Society but there are some places that need to be raped and pillaged by society. Of all the native people for humans to screw over why are we only leaving the cannibals alone

  • @Chief2Moon

    @Chief2Moon

    3 жыл бұрын

    TheComedyGamingNetwork Your comment shows you don't know what you're talking about. 1st, there's no evidence at all that they are or have ever been cannibals. No report since the 14th century mentions them being cannibals, no people killed by them in the historical record have been eaten...buried, yes- eaten, no. A 24sq mile island has more than enough resources between land & water to easily sustain the small population that's estimated to live there. I guess you don't know that 7 of the original 11 tribes known to live in the Andaman Island chain have been driven to extinction since the 1700's. Educate yourself a little, THEN comment....just a thought.

    The kidnapping was a terrible thing but ultimately a good thing because they didn’t trust anyone after that, it must’ve been a story they passed on for generations and it saved them from having their island developed and their way of life changed.

    Yeah I also think that is what happen too. I'm more impressed on how they manage the situation going on after that incident though. Meaning they literally destroy or bury anything that comes from the outside world. The 4 surviving children told them of the evil that was committed and from then on the tribe realized how dangerous the humans of the outside world was and never trusted them. Think about it. I bet they live peacefully without hardly any problems all their lives then out of the blue 6 of them get kidnapped by force something they probably never thought could happen to them or even exist.

    There was peaceful contact made in the early 90's according to the video.Then many years later they became aggressive to outsiders so I am going to guess that peaceful contact had a negative effect on them and many might have gotten sick and died so to ensure their survival they kill anyone who gets to close.

    I like to imagine communication might one day be possible again through pictures. Yknow like a plane or a boat dropping off images drawn on rocks or bark or maybe even shells or something that tell brief little stories about the outside world. Might be the only way with an impassable language barrier and extremely defensive nature.
