What a great comment by Farag to recognize Asal's maturing play. Such a wonderful ambassador for the sport, above and beyond his incredible play 👍👍

It cannot be overestimated what a challenge it is to go from playing "dirty" to "clean", as Asal has done, especially at such a young age - and not to return to your old habits when things aren't going your way. Keep it up, the good results will come. Chapeau! As to Farag: what an amazing ambassador to our sport he is!

Great match. Farag is such a strong player. Good to see that Asal is maturing and focus on playing squash instead of being a spoiled brat.

It's amazing Asal has lasted in as many long matches as he has given his heavy physique and intense movements. Whereas Farag floats like a butterfly, partly his build and partly just skill. Asal covers the court amazingly well for being built like a tank but to have a long career he'll need more economy of movement.

You don't get to become a top-5 squash player without being incredibly efficient in your movements. I don't think there's anything Asal can do to become more economical without sacrificing court coverage. I do agree though, Asal's size and strength is incredible but you can't help think of how much stress his legs are carrying because of that very size and strength. I think he'd rather have a shorter and stellar career than a longer and mediocre one though!

The finishing shot of the 7:17 rally isn't the flashiest thing I've ever seen, but man it's one of the nicest winners I've ever seen. So much skill to be fully front on to the wall, under pressure, lunging on in, and STILL straighten the ball.

Farag is such cool headed not displaying any over zeal when he wins and is smiling congratulating his opponent when he loses a true sportsman would do exactly that. Fantastic play but both

Fantastic to watch Farag grind him down. Asal has been such a toxic, incredibly bad character and repeat offender and cheat I can never forgive him no matter how talented and electric ⚡️ his squash gets. Walla Farag.

Asal has definitely cleaned up his game for some months now and he's a joy to watch. I feel like Ali had to raise his game a level in order to beat him, and he even talked about the improved Asal in his trophy interview

Ali Farag is like the elegance of a 10th generation royalty in his Rolls Royce while Asal is a classless new rich kid on the block who is in his ugly overpowered truck. (Looks like Asal has improved his behaviour a bit…but still).
