Super entertaining match. Excellent refereeing, could have gotten out of control but handled the players well

Love to watch Rodriguez and all his entertainment! But it is easy to oversee that in all his frantic cannonballing he is always 100% aware where his opponent is and where on the court he is, he can run like a maniac and still hit a lift to completely take the pace off the rally. That is probably even more amazing!

17:30 interesting ref call. Said momen kept his body too stiff on follow through, I’m sure it’s a product of Asal’s trick to keep his arm stiff when opponent trying to go through to play. First time I’ve heard of that let explanation.

Can someone explain the conduct struck against Momen for the hand signal at 30:59, and how it iד related to Rodrigues signaling at 30:23. Why would that be an immediate stroke anyways?

I have been disappointed a number of times in the last dozen or so matches where I have watched Momen play, that he really isn't that much of a good sport. Ref did a good job in correcting his behaviour. Yes, I can see that some of those calls were perhaps a fraction tough, but the way he conducts himself these days, tarnishes his reputation earned over a long time of being a fierce skilled professional.

I’m sure Rodriguez real name is Barry Allen = Flash !

Thought the calls from the refs weren’t bad, actually found momen’s movement out of his shots quite poor, cutting off Rod’s line a lot. Getting punished accordingly.

Glad to see Rodriguez win, if only because it silenced that crap-crowd that you can hear applauding when Rodriguez hits an unforced error. Act a bit more dignified, crowd from Egypt.

Lost shoe incident. Rally should've stopped. Rule 13 would've awarded a point to Momen. "13.4. If any object, , falls to the floor during a rally, play must stop; then: 13.4.1. if the object fell from a player t, the opponent wins the rally;

Technically nothing fell on the floor. It's a shoe, it was on the floor and Rodriguez picked it up. Crazy situation that'll most likely never happen again. No wonder no rule to dictate the situation at hand.

The shoe didn't fall on the floor, but the referee should have stopped the rally for safety (both for Rodriguez and Momen, as the sock would have been making sweat patches). At that point, as the stoppage was caused by Rodriguez' equipment malfunction during a rally, I think the point should have gone to Momen. But as mentioned above, no actual rule for this one!

The most similar case would be if a player had a bandage and it started to unwrap during a rally. Rally stops, point to other player, no?

The majority of times that men make comments, they are making blantantly sexist comments, I don't feel there was anything wrong with the commentary made. I have heard much worse irrelevant chatter from Joey.

Rodriguez is still the damn dirty player always trying for lets and strokes. And the referee needs to be investigated. Rubbish refereeing !!! What a disgrace the ref

Lets and strokes are part of the game, and they all looked legitimate to me. Ref was pretty good and consistent in my view, what reasons would there be to 'investigate' him? If anything, it was Momen who lost the plot, especially the second game.

Perhaps we aren't watching the same match. There were some fractional calls in there, but nothing particularly egregious. Momens behavior wasn't befitting a professional sports person. He would be lucky to get away with that even at club level.
