It would have been a crime not to: some of our most classic 'alien horror' faction sculpts, a great psychological/cosmic horror theme, and lore already supporting their ability to hunt you wherever you are in time or space. That said, they will look and feel quite different one we unveil them in the Warpath Universe...watch out for some brand new kits/units and upgrade sets, the kind of out-there stuff we simply couldn't do with them in Pannithor!

The Epic Warpath Kickstarter is an insta-back for me!

I used to collect mantic backing the day, with all that's coming out I am very tempted to give a whirl again 😮

Never backed a Kickstarter before, but I probably will for the new Warpath stuff. Love the Mantic sci-fi games, not that I get to lay them much at the moment. Brilliant models too.

I love Deadzone!!! Probably have enough Veer-myn to jump into FireFight... would just need a few vehicles I think. Warpath sounds interesting, hope they can add more jets and tanks to that one.

As part of the Kickstarter, would love it you would release enough units as STLs so that we could print and start playing the game before the Kickstarter ships.

Wait what happened with the Rebs? Thought we were supposed to be getting new models? As a Deadzone player, I really feel like it's hard to keep with this game, over the last year we've lost more models (with all the mantic points models disappearing) than we've actually gained.

You are right. I also see this very problematic. New factions are fine. Using the new cool Nightstalkers models also makes sense. But it is still disappointing to see whole factions just disappear from the stores without new models to replace them. At least it would be nice with some communication regarding these factions. Are they being totally discontinued or will there eventually be a refresh?

@@AndreasRugtvedNeumann It does very much feel like Games Workshop just refreshing marines over and over again tbh. Like the enforcers didn't look bad at all. Why are they getting a refresh when the Rebs literally don't have any models you can buy without Mantic points?

@@leesh193 We've had new units for most of the Firefight factions this year, so it's certainly not only Enforcers getting all the attention in sci-fi. There is more coming in 2024 (beyond Nightstalkers) for Deadzone as well as Firefight. Rebs remain a unique challenge due to (i) so many different races within each Deadzone Rebs strike team, and (ii) the previous Rebs range was full of PVC/metal minis that were characterful but simply not at our modern standard of high-quality hard plastics and hand-cast resins. A refresh would be a huge undertaking, and we're still looking at the best way to do this properly.

How much of the new enforcer and nightstalker kits will be in hard plastic? I definitely think there's huge potential for warpath, considering how expensive that other Nottingham company will make their version.

Depends on the kit! The new larger Enforcers (and gun platform) are resin, and the phase claws are resin upgrades that accompany the existing hard plastic core sprues.

Looking forward to it. In my case would prefer to have files to 3d print, but plastic is also welcomed.

please Mantic, start adding/providing assembly instructions for your minis and vehicles. maybe i am not 100% up-to-date in regards of instructions, but now (after a looong period of waiting in my shelf) as I start assembling the minis of my mega-big Deadzone KS pledge and the way bigger warpath (now Firefight) stuff (and i talk about many hundreds of minis and dozens of vehicles), it would really help having an assembly instruction. Also, I find it a bit hard to identify which configurations of weapons/arms and legs may be suitable and are allowed (especially for warpath/firefight). Have to admit that I still dont have the new Firefight Rulebook, maybe that would help, and the Deazone 3rd Ed. Books are still on their way. Took me a looong time (hoarding DZ stuff since 1st and 2nd Ed. and the warpath KS was also some time ago...), but finally Deadzone made it to the top of my "to do" list of games (aka heap - "pile" is way to small term - of shame) an my first born is old enough playing cool games with his dad.. :-)

Last week I ordered Deadzone Omega VII and both Firefight Exham plus Cabot. Quit GW in frustration and disappointment last year and have already sold off $2500 40K and KT and about $2000 AoS 40K and KT to go. There are so many issues with GW and their games - it's too much work and money now, and not fun. Everyone is playing with a different version of rules. With Mantic I'm looking forward to rules stability, games done in a timely manner, more fun, and less complexity with better game pace. And you get twice as much for less money - important now I've retired. Good one Mantic. You're the fresh air I needed.

For Deadzone, check out 'Deadzone Fanatics' on Facebook - and 'Firefight Fanatics' for Firefight. Lots of friendly players and local communities in there!

What about Rebs.

Does this mean that if I buy the current FF box (Veermyn & Forge Fathers) the rule book in there is out of date or will it now come with the command protocol book instead?

Not forgotten, but we have finished releasing the full cycle of content for the game as it stands.

Veermyn nightrunners could really use a refresh or update sprue with new heads and arms.

To be fair a good portion of the Veer-Myn could use a refresh. I'd love to get hard plastic Rumblers and Tunnel Runners. Their PVC looks way too much like the old Mantic. The new Mantic looks phenomenal and could go toe to toe with the company from up the street.

I got the protocol book ... But I just cannot decide what faction I want to collect :( Firefight Ambush boxes?

@@salagam yeah I thought that too but with the KoW sets it has a couple of units ...the dreadzone sets seem more individual model based... Of course I have zero experience with dreadzone although I did play a lot of necromunda when it originally came out ...in the 90s

Hi Lee, we'd always suggest going with the faction that has the most appealing aesthetic or backstory to you - it's a great motivator while building/painting, and helps bring them to life in-game!

Im a definite for warpath, would have gone for the new GW epic thing but its just space marines again, yawn. Hope we spank the stretch goals and get multiple races.

Hope Rebs gonna come back...

Enforcers for Warpath is not a great choice. There are three elite armies in the box already. GCPS is a much better human faction choice.

So "Nightstalkers in space" before bothering with Rebs? I think I might just have to tap out at this stage. Starting to feel like you guys hate rebs and rebs players - because that pile of models I have built up over the years is really starting to lose its shine. Rebs are the faction that sets your warpath universe apart, shows off its diversity and makes it more than just a 40k knock off, Nightstalkers kind of push you back towards that

Hi Paul. (1) Nightstalkers are a faction that's been set up in their lore to cross time and dimensions and features some of the most classically 'alien horror' models in any of our ranges. That said, they will look and feel different in the Warpath Universe from what you've seen before, and will of course be consciously distinct from competitor factions in other game systems. (2) Rebs remain on our wishlist, but are a bigger undertaking than it may appear. What we don't want to do is revive an old PVC/metal range without being able to move it properly into hard plastic and resin - our new standard. This is made uniquely complicated by the wide variety of races within each Rebs strike team, which would currently mean a disproportionate amount of hard-plastic tooling to create the faction's core. We certainly don't hate any of our factions or players and are still looking for the right way to revisit Rebs properly, but so far it poses more challenges than any other Deadzone faction.
