Art Evans started Dixie Chopper in a barn in Coatsville Indiana 1980 my first and only great mower ever built Dixie Chopper l wish I had one now 👍👍👍God bless Art Evans very smart man
It finally stopped running. My OLD 72" Dixie Chopper is waiting for parts. In the meantime, the grass won't stop, so I'm making do with a 54" Cub Cadet ZL1. I sure miss it and hope to get it running again soon.
Great video. And to add Adam is the new Dixie Chopper national sales rep. Hands down the best lawn mower rep in the business! If anyone needs any help your dealer can call Adam and he will pick up on the first ring.

North side motors in lake city Florida is a wonderful dealer for Dixie chopper. They are so nice and knowledgeable. I will be getting one soon hopefully
The reason everyone is asking if they are back is because we had all heard they had filed for bankruptcy Glad to see that they are still building mowers I was a little surprised myself when I saw that they were still in business

ive got a classic 27/60 and it stays in the shop, only 200 hours on it and been nothing but issues, im looking hard at scag 61, ive got almost 4 acres and you cant get behind on it, so when mowers in shop i fall behind. got on it yesterday to mow before i leave on vacation and drive belt sheered, guess where mowers at? now im stuck with high grass and going to be knee high when i get back.

I have been telling people those mowers are junk. Some don't want to listen to me.
Had mine 15 years minimal issues. Middle blade not cutting correctly, they r brand new blades as well and sill have issues. Great product ill prob buy another when this one stops working.

I would encourage people not to buy Dixie Chopper because the equipment is unreliable and they do not stand behind their equipment regardless of warranty. They do not have the best reputation as was stated. There are mower brands that are far better. In New Jersey there were quite a few dealers and most have dropped the brand over the years.

We've sold thousands of Dixie Choppers and find them to be as reliable as anything in the market, and easier (in most cases) to deal with regarding warranty work. Maybe it was your dealer.
