This is exactly why I would buy a Sundown subwoofer before any other. A very nice USA business with multiple product variations, nearly every detail done in house and no BS. Love the magnetizer. I used to magnetize "stock" RC car motors back in the day. It is also cool that you know each person's workbench by heart.

I honestly don't think it'll film well, mine gives of such a emp pulse I cant do it with customers in my building. It literally can stop a persons pacemaker at a large distance.

My shop just sent in my ZV-5 15, I also ordered another ZV-5 15 upgrading my system to 2 ZV-5 15s I can't wait. I couldn't go with out bass so I bought a U series to run till I get my rebuilt 15 and my new one in. I'm in Raleigh/Durham NC

I have a question for you guys. Do you have any subs with a low FS, sub 25hz that would work well in a home audio environment? Right now I have a Dayton Ultimax 15, and while it does well on low bass, it is getting hot on 500 watts with bass music and hitting bottom on Spiderman-Into the Spiderverse. I want something I never have to worry about again with up to 2000 watts, maybe transitioning into a blow through in my sierra crew cab possibly into the future.

I've still gat a magnet zapper and they are no joke. I've thought about selling mine but they aren't for the faint hearted. Seriously they can be violent if someone doesn't know what they are doing. Anything on carbon fiber yet???

The carbon fiber looks bad ass! One of these cones will take a beating and the VC will die first. I know carbon fiber is very strong and its Young's Modulus is incredible. Is Finite Element Analysis showing an improvement using carbon fiber over reinforced pulp based cones? Won't the moving mass be too low, or is the CF for SPL subs only since it will yield a higher efficiency? OR is the CF so that you can have fat, multi-layer voice coils and still have a reasonable moving mass?Pulp is no joke. Look at CNC's (nano cellulose), but that is electrically conductive. Oops. I don't think testing will be necessary for the cf cones as long as it is uniform, void free, has the appearance you are looking for, and the proper flatness (top bottom) and dimensions it will be a big 'GO'.

So I might can find an ev 2 12 or two to put in my build

Quinton Litton Yeah sundown Z series are real deal. I don’t know why people hate on Skar they put out some decent equipment as well. All great IMO if I don’t run RS platinums next season for the trunk car I will grab a set of U’s if I don’t run the SA’s

My 2 SA-15's on a SCV-2000D @ 1 ohm destroyed my 2010 Yukon (broke my dash, killed my passenger side power mirror, rear view mirror shall also RIP, rear tail light bulbs lasted maybe 2 weeks every time I replaced them, and the rear door license plate light system may RIP too) now they are about to go in my 95 Nissan Hardbody King Cab. I can not fathom what the X series or better would do to my vehicles.....

Just out of curiosity, why are dust caps still a thing? As opposed to some designs that are all solid cone? is that a design for ease of logo placement or a performance thing?

Well the solid ones still have a dust cap it just covers the whole cone because otherwise you couldn't recone the sub, how could you shim it properly without access to the coil via the dust cap?

I take that back Derrick its videos like this that not many companies will bring you in and not hide a thing! I have the zv5 clone, a stereo integrity hst12mkll, also made by hand in NC, the motor for them checks in at about 70 pounds, unsure about the x. The wrms for the x is 1500, and for the zv5 is 2000wrms.

A magnetizer lines up all the electron spins in the motor. To demagnetize it does the opposite Yeah would love to see that magnetizer in action

My audiobahns are about to go for one last ride when I wire them down to 1 ohm- My demo video was disappointing and I need WAY more power. I can still see when I drive, so that's a problem for me.
