Oh noooo the way I can relate to this 😭😭😭 I’m black and have been in Japan for 5 years now, and the way we attract interest for all the wrong reasons. When Ricardo said he’s been called Will I Am, I’ve been called Beyoncé AND Naomi Osaka 💀 Can def attest to the fact there are plenty of Japanese people for whom “black” is the aesthetic they’re into (although I honestly think it’s just because we’re trending in Jp right now) so we get a lot of attention, but it’s not the kind that leads to a healthy relationship. Also totally agree with the girl who said the Japanese people who like you have to be “open-minded/accepting” versus if you were a white foreigner. Wish I had been in Tokyo for this interview 😂

I was stationed in Yokosuka for 6 years. I can tell you, most of the women interested in me as a black man were probably 28+. Normally this is the effect of Japanese men wanting much younger girls. So they then become open to actually dating “you”. Then there are the most annoying type of Japanese women who tan their skin, wear hoop earrings and actually want to be a black girl and think you automatically want this because your black.

@@kylecray7193 This is very true, & I agree with you. Don't listen to what most people say. I don't think most Japanese women like black men at all. Although for sure I'm not saying that some don't, because certainly they do, & you can date them for sure. But to say that Japanese women as a whole love black men? Nah. It always will depend on the guy, but for the most part? You could always date women closer to your age or even slightly older than you, but it will usually be pretty challenging beyond that. Especially if you're looking for a girl with great looks. They prefer their own first & foremost in my opinion.

No it’s not. There is some fetishisation going on but it’s not nearly to the same extent because the people interested in Japanese and Korean people generally are familiar with their culture. Even when they are fetishised they are seen as people (not just sex) and they are taken them seriously. Like you would never hear Japanese or korean people complaining about fetishisers telling them they’re good enough for sex, not marriage. There is a level of respect they are given even when fetishised that black people are not given and that’s just a fact. So let’s not try to equalise what is not equal.

Japan might be a homogenous country, but where do they get the gall to speak to people like that "what colour are your nipples?", "you look like rap.", "how big is it down there?", those questions are so disrespectful, regardless of if your speaking to someone whos black or otherwise. In terms of their ignorance to "black people", I cannot buy that, the internet has been around for too long to not know how to treat and speak to people of different racial and ethnic backgrounds. I've never met a Saomoan but I'm not gonna be jumping them and asking "if their related to The Rock", it's just common sense.

They don’t see a reason to their due diligence for the most part, and when they do, it challenges everything they’ve been told about America and the so-called West. It’s natural so I get it, but to be completely honest. The last thing we need to be worried about right now is “does this group like us?”

@@wondercreationz Haha probably! There is a reason that their birth rate is so low. Even all of the Japanese male friends I know are looking at other Asian women. Korean, Vietnamese, Filipina's etc. I'm starting to think I probably have to do the same. Even in Japan. I benefit from it being a rich country with many Asian foreigners so I could always just find a substitute woman I guess. Even one of the guys in this video who is 23. He said he was married but his woman was mixed, which doesn't surprise me. From my experience mixed women seem to be alot more mentality fit/ put together than pure blooded ethnic Japanese. Japanese women just want sex, but for serious relationships it's a hard no for the vast majority of them to me. Infact I'm even thinking I need to be careful with whoever I choose to sleep with from now on. These women are batshit cray, cray. & it only gets worse after you marry them I heard. I knew better all along but the problem is I just like Anime & the Gaming Culture too much. My mom told me that Koreans & Filipinas where better due to Christianity, but I kept thinking that Japanese women where the best. It's a shame because the closest Asian country to the west? Which I generally consider the gateway country, seems to be great for everything except for relationships. Japan needs to embrace a mixed future, unless it's women change. I hardly think the issue is Japanese men simply due to how well developed & organized the country is though. Good luck to you finding an Asian guy btw, thanks for your comment & sorry I wrote so much! 👍🏿

Yes to all of it. Experienced Gaijin Hunters, people who wanted to improve English, people who wanted sex on the first date, people who didn’t take me seriously and people who asked intrusive questions. I had more success on Japanese apps where people had to pay. Still hd my fair share of weird dates though. You should have interviewed me, Jesse! I have stories for days. Happily committed now though
