Oh noooo the way I can relate to this 😭😭😭 I’m black and have been in Japan for 5 years now, and the way we attract interest for all the wrong reasons. When Ricardo said he’s been called Will I Am, I’ve been called Beyoncé AND Naomi Osaka 💀 Can def attest to the fact there are plenty of Japanese people for whom “black” is the aesthetic they’re into (although I honestly think it’s just because we’re trending in Jp right now) so we get a lot of attention, but it’s not the kind that leads to a healthy relationship. Also totally agree with the girl who said the Japanese people who like you have to be “open-minded/accepting” versus if you were a white foreigner. Wish I had been in Tokyo for this interview 😂

I was stationed in Yokosuka for 6 years. I can tell you, most of the women interested in me as a black man were probably 28+. Normally this is the effect of Japanese men wanting much younger girls. So they then become open to actually dating “you”. Then there are the most annoying type of Japanese women who tan their skin, wear hoop earrings and actually want to be a black girl and think you automatically want this because your black.

@@kylecray7193 This is very true, & I agree with you. Don't listen to what most people say. I don't think most Japanese women like black men at all. Although for sure I'm not saying that some don't, because certainly they do, & you can date them for sure. But to say that Japanese women as a whole love black men? Nah. It always will depend on the guy, but for the most part? You could always date women closer to your age or even slightly older than you, but it will usually be pretty challenging beyond that. Especially if you're looking for a girl with great looks. They prefer their own first & foremost in my opinion.

No it’s not. There is some fetishisation going on but it’s not nearly to the same extent because the people interested in Japanese and Korean people generally are familiar with their culture. Even when they are fetishised they are seen as people (not just sex) and they are taken them seriously. Like you would never hear Japanese or korean people complaining about fetishisers telling them they’re good enough for sex, not marriage. There is a level of respect they are given even when fetishised that black people are not given and that’s just a fact. So let’s not try to equalise what is not equal.

LOL the story with the London black guy and the wired Japanese girl was pure comedy, I can co-sign that Japanese people can sometimes be wired like that, their culture and how they are raised is just that different.
Japan might be a homogenous country, but where do they get the gall to speak to people like that "what colour are your nipples?", "you look like rap.", "how big is it down there?", those questions are so disrespectful, regardless of if your speaking to someone whos black or otherwise. In terms of their ignorance to "black people", I cannot buy that, the internet has been around for too long to not know how to treat and speak to people of different racial and ethnic backgrounds. I've never met a Saomoan but I'm not gonna be jumping them and asking "if their related to The Rock", it's just common sense.

Korean, Vietnamese, Filipina's etc. I'm starting to think I probably have to do the same. Even in Japan. I benefit from it being a rich country with many Asian foreigners so I could always just find a substitute woman I guess. Even one of the guys in this video who is 23. He said he was married but his woman was mixed, which doesn't surprise me. From my experience mixed women seem to be alot more mentality fit/ put together than pure blooded ethnic Japanese. Japanese women just want sex, but for serious relationships it's a hard no for the vast majority of them to me. Infact I'm even thinking I need to be careful with whoever I choose to sleep with from now on. These women are batshit cray, cray. & it only gets worse after you marry them I heard. I knew better all along but the problem is I just like Anime & the Gaming Culture too much. My mom told me that Koreans & Filipinas where better due to Christianity, but I kept thinking that Japanese women where the best. It's a shame because the closest Asian country to the west? Which I generally consider the gateway country, seems to be great for everything except for relationships. Japan needs to embrace a mixed future, unless it's women change. I hardly think the issue is Japanese men simply due to how well developed & organized the country is though. Very interesting interviews!❤❤.
This cool, thank you for showcasing/covering this for us to see. Shouts Out to everyone, all the interviewees,
Excited to hit up 🇯🇵 this summer!
Rlly wanna go to Japan for the culture so much to see and appreciate
I live in Japan for 4 years about 30 years ago. I found this interesting and amusing, but not at all surprising.
Still planning on visiting japan for at least a month or two, but I want to get to a conversational level with my japanese before I go. I know I dont have to do this, but I want to because I feel like I'll get a lot more out of my experience if I can speak the local language. Thanks for the video. I will keep these things in mind should I end up in a situation where I end up on a date lol I highly doubt it, but the future is uncertain.
Amazing! I think this paints a very interesting perspective on what its like dating in Japan as a foreigner. I've never been to Japan before but I have had friends who lived in Japan and the dating stories ranged from esoteric to normal, very interesting indeed!
BW the Japanese men are getting their ideas 💡 about you from music videos. Cardi b, Nicki Minaj, videos like wap and hot girl summer, are seen around the world 🌎. This is why these ladies in Japan, are experiencing what they are experiencing.

No, it’s not the reason. How old are you? The over-sexualization of black woman started decades before anyone you mentioned. Your haterism is showing

@tipsandtricks6071 I personally would date japanese as they are not physically attractive to me and also feel like black people need to stop finding excuses for people blatant racism and getting some self esteem. Japanese was bombed by American, but they still treat American with respect, entertainment is not the representation of people. Matter of fact cardi b is not black not all latina are like her.
This was an awesome watch, so hilarious too!
LOVE Richardo!! Great videos~ Second one I've watched. I shall be subscribing
I think everyone has their own experiences I guess. lived in Japan for two years, never had Japanese women itching to talk to me because I was black, but most places I went to were meetups and its mostly white dudes and hardly any black guys. I did get some "interest" because I'm 6'5 and so I always got "wow you're tall" but thats about it. but I guess I would be labeled the "strange black guy" because I don't like clubs much, so I never went to clubs in Roppongi which seems to be the location most black dudes get their fun at.

Same here in China, unfortunately. You really have to go to bars/clubs if you wanna have more options. That’s where most girls that find black culture ‘cool’ hang out. I hope I can post a video on this topic on my channel in the near future.

Yes the average Japanese girl wouldn't even think about meeting a black guy.

Your height is part of it, but you're not wrong in that most Japanese women don't like black guys, although there are some exceptions, I guess. Like all women/ cultures. At the end of the day, they aren't entirely wrong to not like you either though, because as a 6'5" guy you would destroy their culture since most men in Japan are well under 6 feet. Infact most are hardly if ever over 5'8" or 5'9".
😢 The responses are giving human zoo energy. Do people remember that history 🥲?

@@bronxishomenomatterwhereig3149 As a black man it does, just listen to their experiences the Japanese they dealt with didn’t take them seriously they just wanted “fun” they basically fetishized us and not actually like us, which is like how the black girl say they have to be “open minded in order to date you”. If it was a white person they would married them off the bat.
This was a real cool video. Thank you. My brother wants to move to Japan from New York City. He stays for a month every time he visits. I wish him luck because living somewhere is a much different experience than living there.
That was a great educational watch my friend, from start to finish. And I rarely watch or finish these kind of videos. Nice to hear experiences from different prospective also. Very enlightening, thank you well done..
That first story was wild
The thumbnail caught me! Momo chaaaaaan
This is why image is extremely important for us.
This was great
I'm a Jamaican that lives in Houston, Texas. My little cousin travels all the time (works remotely) and he confirmed the love of Japan. He loves the people and thinking of moving there. He also confirmed how easy it is to have "fun" with Japanese women. It took him roughly two years to learn the language. Dude cannot stop going there. He has a "gf" that always picks him up from the airport, takes him home, and drains his balls dry.
Richaardo got some of the funniest skits I’ve seen ngl
Thank you for saying this- kzread.info/dash/bejne/oWicl7uCj6Sfoqw.html becuase people need to know theres a difference between people who will put up with you, or people who want to date you as a sport, or becuase its exotic, or whatever, and people who ACTUALLY want to get to know you to see if there is a potential relationship there.
great interview. loved the subject!
Great video. Very insightful. Thank you

I never had issues dating here. In fact it was easier for me to date in Japan and in the UK than it was back in Canada. It depends on how you look and present yourself. I think people from more individualistic places like the USA will struggle race aside.

Bro, I was black in Japan, dated and had 0 problems. I'm trying to think of the most annoying thing and I can't really come up with one... what? Strangers staring at my gf and I for being together? Maybe some people throwing some comments around? I'm also 6'7 so that was weird from a Japanese perspective too. No problems that's I'd call a real problem.

Same bro. All the black guys I knew were good on that side. Unless they were just weirdos with the stereotypical fantasies of what Japan is like. I’ve been to several countries and know people from all over the world, people are more similar than different in most situations.

Great video. Very informative and interesting 😊

Yes to all of it. Experienced Gaijin Hunters, people who wanted to improve English, people who wanted sex on the first date, people who didn’t take me seriously and people who asked intrusive questions. I had more success on Japanese apps where people had to pay. Still hd my fair share of weird dates though. You should have interviewed me, Jesse! I have stories for days. Happily committed now though
I lived in Seoul Korea for 3 years. It’s basically the same. Great interviewing brother
i have always wanted to go there and experience the whole vibe and its dope! im sick of folks bashing!
