    Something to keep in mind is that because this is japan everything has to be built to resist earthquakes, just look at steel dragon 2000 and the amount of money that its massive supports ate up. Some of that 33 million will undoubtedly be used up for enhanced safety which will bring down the scale of the ride.

    This. I was about to write the same. 33 milion isn't that much in japan standards. Even if Eejanaika was just a bit cheaper, you also have to consider inflation.

    That is true. I mean Steel Dragon 2000 costs $52 million, and again most of that costs is because of that extra reinforced steel. Seeing that most of the giga coasters cost around 25-30 million, I'd say maybe 25-30 million was for the reinforcement, and 17-22 million for the track. Idk how it works tbh.

    Gotta remember that they're probably gonna need to do some reinforcements for earthquakes etc. which is probably gonna jack up the price of the ride. Steel dragon 2000 cost $52 million to build. I would assume a modern giga with those kind of reinforcements would cost even more.

    Right, but Taylor is just comparing the price to other coasters there. Eejanaika probably would cost less than 3.5 billion yen in other countries, but it was 3.5 in Japan because of earthquake protection. If the new ride costs 3.3 billion yen, it will be around the same size as Eejanaika.

    Well, keep in mind the frequent earthquakes requiring more money to be spent on the supports. As for the location, if it's high enough above the guests, as long as you can catch debris and keep safe distance from other rides, you can work around it. Perhaps it could be something like Manta (Orlando) that swoops and dives over the pathway.

    I can't see it being a giga or hyper, aside for the space issues you mentioned, from what I can tell Fujiyama is considered the big iconic ride of Fuji-Q among the Japanese, and I doubt they'll do something to overshadow it. There's another decent plot of land to the east side of the park that used to be owned by a driving school, but is disused now, so that could be a decent spot for a new ride to go though I'm not sure if the park actually currently owns that plot of land.

    oh damn, I was two months late to see this video and leave this comment. I sincerely hope you guys can see this message. It probably wouldn't be a giga coasters because Mt.Fuji has been chosen as World Heritage by UN. So the skyline was been protected and restricted. In fact, last time I checked, this is the main reason why Fujiq didn't have any new rollercoasters since 2011. Before 2011, this park has a steady rhythm to build a new coaster every 4 years. Unless they find a way to solve that restriction, they will need to be extremely creative to build a coaster that is not that tall and still break some Guinness world record(Everytime they build a coaster, it definitely broke some record) I'm from Taiwan and fujiq made me a coasters enthusiast. Hope this information helped

    I think that there are two more likely options than what is mentioned. 1- MACK extreme spinner. They don’t have anything like it whatsoever and time traveler has worked out great. 2- The GCI dueling hybrids. They don’t have a wooden coaster at all and it would be one of a kind in the world, fitting to what Fugi Q tends to do. If you factor in having the more expensive supports to be resistant to the earthquakes, the price tag is probably similar on both.

  • @CoasterStudios

    @CoasterStudios

    I would be shocked if they could find a way to fit in a pair of GCI intertwined woodies. You are right, I did not mention the MACK Extreme Spinner, when I definitely should've. That would be a pretty neat fit here.

  • @seugoi7460
    @seugoi74604 жыл бұрын

    I honestly think a Mack hyper would be awesome at the park. DC Rivals is an intense ejector machine with a relatively unique layout compared to most traditional hypers and definitely has the potential to rival Hakugei. Price tags also match up really well even if the a chunk of the money goes to earthquake resistance and we know Mack can make their last cars spinning or backwards which will give the ride that extra flare. Fuji-Q needs an airtime focused ride and I think a Mack hyper is their best choice for that since a custom compact layout is possible and Mack is not opposed to going out of their comfort zone to make a great ride.

  • @justsamoo3480
    @justsamoo34804 жыл бұрын

    I think that the roller coaster by itself won’t cost that much. I think there is gonna be whole bunch if land clearing going on. So maybe coaster would be ground breaking but not a giga per say. And also you have to consider that every building is more expensive in Japan because they have to ship it from other side of the world and everything there is protected for an earthquake of higher scale. So yeah it definitely won’t be a giga.

  • @pureawkwardness415
    @pureawkwardness4154 жыл бұрын

    I was originally thinking longest steel rollercoaster, because Fuji Q already has broken records for tallest, fastest, steepest, and most inversion rollercoasters. But I think it's possible Fuji Q could build a wooden rollercoaster, even if Fuji Q is prone to earthquakes. Not only would it be cheaper to build a wooden coaster, but it would also be easier to build it longer than even Steel Dragon 2000, and since wood is cheaper, even if it requires even more wood than it would need steel, I think it seems like a pretty good possibility. Not to mention there aren't many wood coasters in Japan, and White Cyclone already became a RMC.

    I would give the full circuit giga theory more credit. I feel like being known for their launch coasters in Do-Dodonpa and Takabisha, there would be too much GP comparison to assets they already have. I also think the areas outlined would suit a giga lift and drop, and I feel like a lot of speculation tends to focus too much on clear ground space. Especially looking at the crazy places and placement of Japanese coasters. Even at the park currently Dodonpa skates over EEEEEEEEVERYTHING! MOSTLY being over pathways and attractions, it would be super easy to stretch a giga the same way and even help mask a shorter layout by using the height of the layout to both separate it from other gigas and burn off access speed without a ridiculous 80ft. space themed hyper brakerun

    It would be boring, but im not ruling out that they are just gonna go with a dark ride coaster, would explain how they could make something that costs this much in a small area.

    I dont think that RMC is the park's choice since most RMC coasters tend to take huge space of land which is not the case in Fuji-Q

    I’m guessing a giga rmc t rex since it is really expensive and I doubt they would go for a b&m or intamin. Orion is almost the same price at $30 million and Iron Gwazi is $10 million so I think this is logical and it might/will be the first ever rmc t rex built and it will be VERY large considering the price tag

    Actually, with the demolition of the Mad Mouse there is enough space to build a big size roller coaster. You might have to consider to move the Giant Frisbee somewhere else. You could also use the space within the large turn of Dododonpa, which is currently used by two walkthrough attractions and the Star Flyer.

    If they removed do-dodonpa for their new ride I would literally cry. It is my top bucket list coaster that I want to ride. Seriously, I want to go to Japan just to ride it and don't really care about really any other coaster there. Luckily it's unlikely that they'd remove it especially since not long ago they added a loop to it.
