Pretty sure a lot of people enjoyed the livestream. It was just trying super hard to be a family show. For a lot of people the only significant stuff was at the end, where they announced the 1.14 update, but there are younger players in the community who probably freaked out when they saw half of their favourite creators on the stream. I also wonder what the stats were for how many people watched the stream, vs how many people could attend IRL Minecon...

Sweet vlog :) I can relate with the conventions being a bit cringy. It's a downside of letting kids in but hey, leaving them out would be messed up. Minecraft is great because no matter who you are you can do something amazing in it, but only if you are willing to.

Always like to catch the recap because there are too many hermits to try to keep up with. Have 2 jobs and little spare time to myself. I must admit i'm pretty jealous of you now. You got to meet False! 1 question for you, though you'll probably never answer this- how beautiful is False in person? She has an amazing personality, is an amazing Minecraft builder and is super fun to watch. It only makes sense that she is pretty on the inside and out.

Personally I voted for mob 'A'. 'B' was my 2nd hope though.

Yeah I feel the same way, he would have been a perfect explanation as to WHY there are ship wrecks, but adding something to the skies makes them a bit less dull, I wonder if they'll chase Elytra users? At least we can see the other 3 mobs in mods, because you KNOW Quark or something will add the ditched mobs.

As much as I would love seeing Pixlriffs on Hermitcraft, I think it would take away from his Survival Guide series, though I’m honestly fine with either.

I am so so late to the party for having watched, but I loved this. I'm a huge Hermitcraft fan/nerd and genuinely appreciate your enthusiasm for the series.

I know it's been three years, but this video is really well done and entertaining! Thought compliments never get old so... Good job! Also, love the hermitcraft recap.

I used to live in Redmond! And when I did live there both of my parents worked at the Microsoft campus. I’ve been there so many times I could probably find my way around even though I haven’t been there in quite a number of years lol.

loved the vlog Pix! It was live streamed from Atlanta, GA USA. I went to the theater where they streamed it from. Though they didn't have a similar event (no tournament, no marketplace place partners etc) there

Pixlriffs yeah I didn't know until like the Thursday before and managed to get a free ticket from OMGChad. At was a smaller event with at most 250~ people there.

Wish I had the opportunity to attend one of those events. The closest one is Sydney I believe which still requires a plane ticket and a couple of days holiday, which you can't afford at this time of the school year, in Australia anyway. But, either way, I like the idea of Minecon Earth being streamed globally, but I think they should have a more official Minecon and have that streamed anyway.

Well it looks like they tried to make it good at least, even if the crowd was a bit small. I see there was another party up north which looked a bit more full on, perhaps if just the one event was held it would have been fuller.

Maybe! And yeah, they went all out. Events like this aren't cheap to put on, and I think the Northern event wasn't an "official" event like this one.

Hello Pixlriffs This is the first time I have seen what you look like. & I really thought you where my Nephew Josh . you look so much like him. I love your Minecraft Survival Guide. I have been fallowing it & looked up all of your videos & saved them all so I can see them all from day 1. I just I Down loaded the same world to play in. It is a cool world. Woohoo!!! I made it into the video! I’m so glad I went to the event and I def agree that there were not as many people as they expected to be there, also yes Mumbo is like 6”5 and False is shorter than I expected but hey (sorry False if you see this) (to be fair I’m 5”9/5”10 so most people (mainly female) are small compared to me) I look forward to seeing you again at the next Minecon Earth next year!:)

Represent! Pretty much agree with your review. And I think they'd have been better off having an experienced Minecraft KZreadr instead of Will Arnett, and breaking the livestream up with bits done in the Copper Box between the announcements/Jeb interview. It felt like watching a movie, tbh.

I wrote notes for sections of this video because there were some things I wanted to say in very specific ways. When I talk at length about a subject I trip over my words, or "um" and "ah" too much, and even *with* notes to work from, the uncut video footage was over 35 minutes long. I don't want to publish a 35-minute-long video with a bunch of verbal mistakes in it, and memorizing my notes like a monologue would make everything feel scripted and inauthentic. By making cuts, I can cut out all the sections where I'm referring to my notes, which means I'm looking at the camera more, which is more engaging to viewers. KZread vloggers tend to "tighten up" the length of their videos by editing clips so the audio for one sentence begins directly after the previous clip ends, but the video for the previous clip runs over by a second or so - both to make it look like you're completing the sentence, and to cover the fact that you haven't recorded the video in a continuous fashion. Might be a matter of opinion, but I think the video looks a lot more professional with the clips overlapping that way.

One of the great things about you and ZloyXP is the way that you reply to so much of your comments and in depth. As a performer I tend to work routines which are basically variations on a theme rather than a script and when doing that I don't often 'um' or 'ah' (in real life I hesitate all the time). In the very few minecraft videos I've made I find it much easier to speak fluently when I know beforehand what I intend to say and can then just have a few keywords in front of me. This is easier than a fuller set of notes and I've found autocue a real pain to use. I often think that a lot of KZread presenters over-edit their vlogs and I as a viewer like a naturalistic approach, the odd um or ah actually makes it more real.

This is my first time seeing your face (I listen to the spawn chunks) and to be perfectly honest you look just like I thought you would.

I got into Minecraft through a knockoff mobile app. Enjoyed it, then realized it was just Minecraft with a different skin. I then downloaded Minecraft for XBox1. Now I want to buy a computer and get the *real* Minecraft experience. I totally get that feeling of finally being able to have a conversation with someone irl where they get your Minecraft references

Much nicer swag, than we got at Minecon London in 2015! Except for the Minecon cape. Nothing beats getting that 😄

I've done vlogs before, but it's not something I do regularly. I feel like vlogs are most interesting (to me) when they're about travel, or an event - and I don't have the lifestyle where stuff like this happens to me often.

What do u think: what year will feel safe enough to actually do another minecon and what will it b like? Tbh i dont think id want to go to one while the hype has refreshed like it has presently, the smaller venue seems like it would have been way more fun
