Thanks, Cyndi. I’ve just found you and you’ve been a wealth of knowledge already. I will definitely be adding the last question to my initial contact/quote form. Until now, my attempt at weeding out the “tire kickers” was to ask them what they’re looking forward to on vacation. The more serious they are about booking, the more info they usually share. But, I’m still getting my fair share of leads that go nowhere. Asking them point blank seems to be a better approach.

Thank you. I had this happen to me last week with a client. I asked all the questions, they had a great budget, they knew exactly what the wanted, I gave them the price and a rough plan, and told them the $390 deposit was due today to secure the booking and told them the final payment was January 23rd and they hit me with “oh. We can’t pay for it until the week before we go in February….” So 😅😅😅😅 Thank you. I will be sure to ask those additional questions now.
