Question, everyone says Johnny T is hard to trade, Johnny is better than O’Reilly and a lot of teams wanted him at trade deadline and the off season. Someone must have a need for a 60-80 point 2/3 line centre?

Sean, a key difference in your 2 examples is the timing. You mentioned O'Reilly was sought after *at the trade deadline*. The issue at hand is trading 91 prior to the season. The reason players at the trade deadline are more sought after is: the receiving team pays the player's salary for roughly 1/6th of the year. For financially pressed teams, a receiving team would be less likely to receive JT in October compared to March. None of that was to say there will not be interest in 91. Just making a distinction between a trade deadline deal, and a summertime deal. Cheers

It’s fairly obvious that Marner is gone both for his own good and the teams - you can tell he’s done with the media and the town. JT is basically untradeable because while he might waive, you are going to eat $ and not get an equivalent talent back and it’s only 1 year so you probably keep him. My prediction: Marner and Kampf to Philly for Konecky, Ristolanein, Bonk and a 2nd Resign Bert/Domi/Jones/Edmundson/Lybushkin Domi - Matthews - Konecky Bert - Tavares - Nylander Knies - Holmberg - Jarnkrok Gregor - Dewar - Reaves Robertson Rielly - Lybushkin McCabe - Liljegren Edmundson - Ristolanein Benoit - Timmins Woll Jones Great prospect group: 1st and 2nd rounders this year Cowan Bonk Minten Niemela Greybonkin Hildeby

If the Leafs don't extend Marner, he plays the season than walks away. The team isn't stupid like a lot of you people. He will sign an extension.
